The predecessor of Yichun Vocational College-Yichun Normal School (Yichun Forestry Normal School, Heilongjiang Province). The school was established in 1958, with the aim of training teachers needed for economic construction and social development in Yichun forest region. During this period, the school moved to Xinxing West Road, Yichun District, Yichun City on 1983.

1984 According to the needs of Yichun's economic and social development, the CPC Yichun Municipal Committee and Yichun Municipal People's Government reported to the Provincial General Administration of Forestry Industry the request for instructions on the establishment of Heilongjiang Forestry Teachers College.

Yichun Vocational College is located in Yichun, Heilongjiang Province, an ecological garden city known as "the forest capital of the motherland", "the hometown of Korean pine" and "the top ten harmonious cities in the world". College is a full-time comprehensive higher vocational college which is compatible with forestry, literature, science, engineering, economics, management, law, art and teachers. Its predecessor can be traced back to Yichun Normal School established by 1958.

1984 In May, Heilongjiang Forestry Teachers College was established; 1In September, 1993, the provincial government agreed to enroll students in the name of Yichun Branch of Heilongjiang University.
