Guangxi University, founded in 1928, is located in Nanning, Guangxi. It is a national key university listed in the sequence of universities directly under the Ministry of Education and jointly established with Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is a national "2 1 1 engineering" key university, a "double-first-class" world-class discipline construction university and a domestic first-class university supported by Guangxi.
The school has been selected into the "20 1 1 Plan", the education and training plan for outstanding engineers, the education and training plan for outstanding agricultural and forestry talents, the national postgraduate plan for building high-level universities, the introduction plan for overseas high-level talents, and the China government scholarship receiving institution for overseas students. It is a member of the "one province, one school" alliance, one of the 50 innovative engineering graduate education institutions in China, and a "new engineering" research and practice project.
The first president of Guangxi University was Ma. He was an educational "master" known as "Northern Cai Nanma". 1939 was renamed as National Guangxi University in Guilin, where a group of famous teachers such as Zhu Kezhen, Li Siguang and Chen Wangdao once taught. 1952, Mao Zedong wrote the name of Guangxi University in his own handwriting. 1953 transfer teachers, students, equipment and books to 19 universities in central and southern China. 65438-0958, Guangxi University resumed its reconstruction in Nanning. 1997, merged with Guangxi Agricultural University to form a new Guangxi University.
