Where is the awarding point of the Nobel Prize?
On June 5th+February 6th +00 every year, the grand prize awarding ceremony is held in Stockholm, Sweden and Oslo, Norway.

The Nobel Prize was founded with part of the legacy of Alfred bernhard Nobel (1833- 1896), a famous Swedish chemist, industrialist and inventor of nitroglycerin explosives. Nobel prizes include gold medals, certificates and bonuses.

Nobel was born in Stockholm, Sweden. He devoted his life to the study of explosives and made great achievements in the study of nitroglycerin. He not only engaged in theoretical research, but also engaged in industrial practice. He obtained 355 patents for technological inventions in his life, and opened about 100 companies and factories in 20 countries on five continents, such as Europe and America, and accumulated huge wealth.

1896 10 February 10, Nobel died in Italy. A year before his death, he left a will. In his will, he proposed to use part of his legacy (SEK 365,438+0 million, that is, $9.2 million at that time) as a fund, and put the fund into low-risk investment. According to his annual profit and interest, he divided five prizes into physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature and peace, and awarded them to people or organizations all over the world who have made great contributions to mankind in these fields.

Accordingly, the Swedish government approved the establishment of the Nobel Foundation in June 1900, and awarded the Nobel Prize for the first time on the fifth anniversary of Nobel's death the following year, namely 190 1, 12, 10. Since then, in addition to the wartime interruption, grand awards ceremonies will be held on this day every year in Stockholm, Sweden and Oslo, Norway.

The results of the Nobel Peace Prize are announced first every year, earlier than other prizes. This reflects the importance of the Peace Prize. Nobel got rich by inventing nitroglycerin explosive. He hoped that this invention could be widely used in industry (such as mining and construction), but unfortunately, his invention was used in war. Before his death, Nobel hoped that scientists all over the world, regardless of their fields of work, would contribute to human peace.

On the occasion of the 300th anniversary of 1968 CCB, the Swedish Central Bank provided funds to add the Nobel Prize in Economics (the full name is "Nobel Prize in Economics in Memory of Alfred Bernd by the Swedish Central Bank", also known as "Nobel Prize in Economics in Memory"), which was awarded at the same time as the other five prizes of 1969. The selection principle of the Nobel Prize in Economics is to award those who have made significant contributions in the field of economic science research, and give priority to those who have made significant contributions in the early stage.

1990, Klaus Nobel, the great grandson of Nobel, proposed to add the Nobel Earth Prize to the winners of outstanding environmental achievements. The award was first presented in World Environment Day on June 5th, 199 1.

The amount of the Nobel Prize depends on the income of the foundation. The early range was about 65,438+065,438+0,000 pounds (365,438+0,000 dollars) to 30,000 pounds (72,000 dollars). Due to inflation and the investment income of the foundation, the bonus amount has increased year by year, initially about 30,000 US dollars, 75,000 US dollars in the 1960s, 220,000 US dollars in the 1980s, and 6,543,800,000 Swedish kronor for many years since the 1990s (about 6,543,800,000 US dollars in 2006). The gold medal weighs about 270 grams, contains 23K gold, is about 6.5cm in diameter, and has a Nobel relief image on the front. Different awards and medals have different back decorations. The design of each award certificate also has its own style. The award ceremony was grand and simple. The number of people attending the ceremony ranged from 1.500 to 1.800, and now it is about 2000. The men present should wear tuxedos or national costumes, and the women should wear evening dresses. The white flowers and yellow flowers used in the ceremony must be airlifted from San Morey (the Italian city where Nobel died), which means to commemorate and respect Nobel.

According to Nobel's will, in the whole selection process, the winners are not influenced by any nationality, nationality, ideology or religion, and the only criterion for selection is the size of achievements.

According to the Nobel will, the physics prize and chemistry prize are awarded by the Royal Swedish Academy of Science, the physiology or medicine prize is awarded by the Royal Caroline Medical College of Sweden, the literature prize is awarded by the Swedish Academy of Literature, and the peace prize is elected by the Norwegian Parliament. The economics prize is awarded by the Science Prize of the Royal Swedish Academy. Each awarding unit has a Nobel Committee composed of five people responsible for the selection work, which is held every three years. The selection process is as follows:

—— From September to the following year1October 3 1 candidates recommended by various Nobel Prizes. There are usually 1000-2000 candidates recommended every year.

—— Those who are qualified to recommend candidates are: previous Nobel Prize winners, members of the Nobel Prize jury, distinguished university professors, invited professors of the Nobel Prize jury, presidents of writers' associations (literary prizes), and international conferences and organizations (peace prizes).

-Don't volunteer.

-The Swedish and Norwegian governments have no right to interfere in the selection of the Nobel Prize, and cannot support or oppose the recommended candidates.

—— From February 1 day, the Nobel Prize jury will screen and review the recommended candidates, and the work will be kept strictly confidential.

-In mid-June, 5438+10, the Nobel Prize winners were announced.

-65438+February 10 is the anniversary of Nobel's death. On this day, the Nobel Prize awarding ceremony was held in Stockholm and Oslo respectively, and the king and queen of Sweden attended and presented the prizes.
