Ludong university University, located in Yantai City, Shandong Province, is a provincial comprehensive university with literature, science, industry and agriculture as the main body and coordinated development of multiple disciplines. 20 12 became the first batch of "Shandong Famous Schools for Training Applied Talents" and the project unit for training and serving the national special needs doctoral talents.

Founded in 1930, the school has gone through the historical stages of Shandong Provincial Second Rural Normal School, Jiaodong Public School, Laiyang Normal School, Laiyang Normal College, Yantai Teachers' College, Yantai Teachers' Training School and Yantai Normal College.
200 1 Shandong jiaotong school (Yantai) (founded on 1978) merged. In 2006, the school was renamed ludong university. In 2007, the undergraduate teaching level of the school was rated as "excellent" by the Ministry of Education. In 20 14, teacher education college was formally established, located in Penglai campus.
