With the gradual decline of BBS, students moved their dissatisfaction with life to Zhihu, and campus life came into public view. However, between BBS and Zhihu, some schools have developed this third path: the advertising wall.
On the one hand, the iteration of technology makes the campus forums of some universities show a declining trend; On the other hand, public platforms such as Zhihu and Weibo are directly related to public opinion. Some non-social problems in students' daily life are not suitable for discussion on public platforms. As a result, students from all schools spontaneously set up a virtual community "advertising wall", which became a gathering place for students in our school to vomit.
This paper analyzes the contents of the advertisement walls in five universities in East China (Fudan University, Nanjing University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Zhejiang University and University of Science and Technology of China), and through a questionnaire survey, discusses how college students use the advertisement walls and how to give full play to their functions.
Among these five universities, there are three universities (Nantah, Zhejiang University and China University of Science and Technology) whose "advertisement walls" exist in the form of QQ accounts, and their contents are placed in the QQ space. Universities (Fudan University and Shanghai Jiaotong University) have two "confession walls" in the form of official WeChat accounts. Either way, someone must run it: that is, students contribute, and the operator will publish the students' contributions on the "confession wall".
In this paper, 345 valid questionnaires were collected, covering 1~4 grades.
1. What is the "confession" on the "confession wall"?
Sun Yuan said, "The wall of confession is more like a friend". Open the chat record between her and QQ account "Nanjing University Advertisement Wall". In the last three months of 2020, she contributed 28 times to the advertisement wall: the full reduction of the Double Eleven, the dining hall jiaozi in the winter solstice, the romantic longing in the first snow ... as if telling her close friends about her daily life.
The advertisement wall can not only "confess", but also make students pay attention to the "hot spots" and "mutual assistance" on it. Through the wall of confession, expressing opinions and emotions, the meaning of "confession" has been far dispersed.
