Only Loughborough University and Oxford University have won the Queen's Anniversary Award for Higher Education and Continuing Education five times.
The scientific research strength of the university has been unanimously recognized. In the evaluation of scientific research quality sponsored by the British government, many departments scored as high as 5 points.
Loughborough University consists of three colleges: Engineering College, Science College and Social Sciences and Humanities College. All colleges offer undergraduate, professorial master's and doctoral courses. Many undergraduate courses also arrange one-year paid internship or vocational training.
Loughborough, located in Leicestershire, is one of the towns in central England (90 minutes' drive from London). The campus itself is located in the countryside of England, close to Charnwood Forest, which is famous for its beautiful natural scenery. Pique district is not far from here, which provides an ideal place for students who like hiking, mountain climbing and water sports. On Bijia Mountain, you can not only stroll and enjoy the open green space, but also overlook the beautiful scenery of the whole town.
Although Loughborough is adjacent to big cities (Nottingham, Leicester and Derby are only half an hour's drive), it still maintains its unique charm as a small market town. There are many night entertainment places here, including a multi-screen cinema, numerous nightclubs, bars and restaurants. Loughborough market, which is popular with students, sells all kinds of goods, including clothing, handicrafts and food. There are also many shops here, both brand stores and small shops with unique flavors.

Admission requirements
Loughborough University is very cautious when enrolling students, and evaluates students in terms of academic qualifications, students' personal statements and letters of recommendation from their schools. To apply for a research doctoral degree, you need to submit a research plan, which can be discussed with the graduate office in advance.
The school fully considers all British and international qualifications. International students can log on to the school website or contact the school's international office for further advice.
Usually, applicants for master's or research degree programs need to have a good undergraduate honorary degree, or an equivalent degree awarded by an accredited university. If the applicant has appropriate work experience, the school also accepts their higher diploma or vocational qualification. Applicants can download the application form from the school website.
Undergraduate applicants need to have a high school level or graduate from high school, and the school also accepts many other international equivalent qualifications. Although some countries hold high school graduation exams, students in these countries may still need to take additional preparatory courses before starting university courses. The preparatory courses are located on the university campus (science and engineering), nearby Loughborough College (business and science), or through the local or other approved centers in the UK.
All British and international students must have a certain English language ability. The minimum required English language score is: Certificate of General Secondary Education English C, IELTS) 6.5, or TOEFL 600/250 (including written test and oral test), and other English scores are also accepted by the school. This is described in detail in the school enrollment brochure and website.
Applicants who fail to fully meet the English requirements of the school can attend the pre-semester English language courses of the school. The courses were held on campus for 28 weeks, 19 weeks, 10 weeks, 5 weeks and 2 weeks respectively. Fees range from 590 for 2 weeks to 5600 for 28 weeks. 10 week, 5 weeks and 2 weeks' fees include tuition, accommodation and some meals. Local universities also offer longer language courses.
