Nankai University belongs to "985" and "2 1 1". After the founding of New China, it has become a national key university with equal emphasis on arts and sciences through the adjustment of higher education departments. Since the reform and opening up, Tianjin Foreign Trade College and China Tourism Management Cadre College have merged. With the support of the Ministry of Education and Tianjin Construction, the school has developed into a comprehensive research university focusing on the national "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Project".

From 2065438 to September 2005, after the new campus was completed and put into use, the school-running pattern of Balitai Campus, Jinnan Campus and TEDA College was initially formed. From 2065438 to September 2007, it was selected into 36 A-level universities among 42 world-class universities in China.

Introduction to running a school

Nankai University is one of the comprehensive and research universities with complete disciplines in China. In the long-term process of running a school, it has formed the characteristics of paying equal attention to arts and sciences, broad foundation, outstanding application and innovation. There are 26 professional colleges, covering literature, history, philosophy, economics, management, law, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, teaching and art.

Nankai University covers an area of 4.431.2000 square meters, of which Balitai Campus covers an area of1.21.6000 square meters, Jinnan Campus covers an area of 2,458,900 square meters and TEDA College covers an area of 67,200 square meters. The total construction area of the school building is19519000m2. In accordance with the principle of "running schools independently and cooperating closely", we have cooperated with Tianjin University in running schools.
