Responsibilities of Haikou Education Bureau:

(four) responsible for the supervision and evaluation of education in this Municipality; To supervise, inspect, evaluate and guide the education work of the district government, the performance of the district education administrative departments and the running of educational institutions; Responsible for the supervision, inspection, evaluation and acceptance of the work of eliminating illiteracy among young people; Monitor the development level and quality of urban basic education.
(five) responsible for promoting the development and reform of employment-oriented vocational education and coordinating the development plan of vocational education; Guide the cultural and technical education of rural areas and farmers.
(six) responsible for the management of special education funds and municipal education funds, as well as education assistance for overseas students and education loans in this Municipality; Participate in the formulation of policies and regulations on raising education funds, education funding, education infrastructure investment and education fees; Supervise the implementation and use of educational financial allocation funds in various districts and the collection and use of other educational funds.
(seven) responsible for guiding schools at all levels to carry out ideological and political work, moral education, sports health and art education and national defense education.
(eight) responsible for the scientific research planning of the education system, coordinating and guiding the school to carry out teaching and scientific research work; Responsible for examining and approving local teaching materials and supplementary materials; Responsible for enrollment plan, entrance examination and student status management.
(nine) responsible for the management of teachers; Organize and implement the training of principals and teachers of all kinds of schools at all levels in the city; According to the overall planning of school construction, teachers and management personnel are equipped; Responsible for the management of the city's language; Responsible for guiding the promotion of Putonghua; Assist in the international promotion of Chinese.
(ten) to undertake international educational exchanges and cooperation.
(eleven) responsible for the supervision and inspection of subordinate institutions to implement the principles, policies, laws, regulations and rules of the party and the state, and cooperate with relevant departments to supervise their non-operating state-owned assets.
