Interview education reform
Examination-oriented education "is a very narrow educational model with examination as the only or main educational goal." This narrow educational model is leading the basic education in China into a dead end, which is extremely harmful. Its negative factors are shown in the following aspects:

(A) a single development, a serious violation of the guiding principle of all-round development of people, the limitations of its development are as follows:

1. superficial. "Examination-oriented education" attaches importance to the temporary superficial educational effect, and only attaches importance to the examination results that do not mark the students' comprehensive quality level; Quality is a deeper and more lasting human quality. Therefore, "exam-oriented education" has actually become a superficial and vulgar education. Under the influence of the wrong orientation of "exam-oriented education" and some bad social atmosphere, the phenomenon of fraud in the field of education is also common and repeated, resulting in the false educational effect.

2. One-sidedness. Because choice is the main purpose of education, and examination is the main means of choice, coupled with many imperfect factors of the current examination system, the content of school education is actually divided into examination content and non-examination content, and the teaching of examination content is greatly strengthened and distorted, resulting in excessive academic burden for students. This not only weakens moral education, physical education, aesthetic education and labor education, but also has serious one-sidedness in intellectual education. The study of non-examination subjects is a mere formality, and the abilities that are not required by the examination, such as writing ability, practical ability and oral expression ability, are seriously ignored, resulting in many defects in students' quality and seriously affecting the improvement of the overall quality level of the educated.

3. Locality. "Exam-oriented education" focuses on the selection of students who continue to study in an institution of higher learning, and this selection is mainly based on the examination results of current subjects, so it ignores the development of all students; The cultivation of outstanding talents should be opposed to the improvement of the quality of the broad masses of workers, so that basic education can truly become the education of a few people.

4. mechanical. "Exam-oriented education" takes scores as the only measure to require and evaluate students, and scores are also used to evaluate and require school teachers. On the one hand, every student's personality development is lost in front of the score. Education is not to help every student to advance at his starting point, but to develop on his advantages, so that every student can raise his head and follow his own life path, which sometimes causes different types of talents to be stifled. On the other hand, the educational results expressed by test scores are infinitely exaggerated, while the educational process is seriously ignored. The process of education is often equivalent to the process of guiding students to take exams; Teachers often can't consciously improve students' quality in the teaching process, and even violate the educational laws. This kind of education process can sometimes achieve good test results, but it can not only cultivate students' good quality, but even produce the opposite effect. Therefore, some comrades call "exam-oriented education" negative education.

(B) narrowing the goal of intellectual education

Although the exam-oriented education model puts intellectual education in the first place, its goal is one-sided and narrow. Intellectual education is the education of imparting knowledge and developing intelligence, in which developing intelligence is the most important goal. However, from the perspective of exam-oriented, exam-oriented education overemphasizes the imparting of knowledge and skills, emphasizes the proficiency of knowledge, and adopts the means of over-learning and intensive training, which limits learning to the scope of textbooks, resulting in students having no time to participate in various extracurricular activities that are very conducive to developing their intelligence, resulting in a narrow range of knowledge and low scores. Some people say that it is very reasonable to "learn knowledge in class and produce talents outside class", while exam-oriented education is to force students to study hard, read dead books, imprison people's intellectual development and stifle talents.

First of all, exam-oriented education pays more attention to further studies than ability training. One-sided pursuit of enrollment rate, all the work of the school seems to revolve around the core of entrance examination, which is a stubborn disease in our education. From primary school to graduate school, the artificial tension caused by exams makes us wonder whether the original function of education has been replaced. The result of this kind of education is: being taught more and more, being mechanical and having low ability to get high marks. Because high marks don't completely mean ability, therefore, the education direction that only pays attention to the entrance examination runs counter to the education that emphasizes the improvement of humanistic quality, and its effect is also far from the humanistic quality education that pursues the unified development of true talents, intelligence, ability and physical strength.

Secondly, exam-oriented education pays more attention to intellectual education than intellectual education. Intelligence and non-intelligence factors are the development foundation that people should have. In the past, we did not attach importance to the role of non-intellectual factors in human development. Therefore, when people realize that "the development of intelligence factors is based on the soundness of non-intelligence factors, and people's intellectual achievements depend largely on the greatness of personality", the education of non-intelligence factors has gradually attracted the attention of people of insight in education. However, it is extremely insufficient for us to cultivate the non-intelligence factors of teenagers. It is precisely because of insufficient attention that we still regard it as a dispensable educational addition. There is neither an assessment method nor a training method for it, so that students' progress in this respect is not obvious.

2 disadvantages of exam-oriented education

(C) Pay more attention to humanistic quality than humanistic quality education

As far as the current educational situation is concerned, humanistic quality is more valued by educators than people-oriented quality. Therefore, the education of values, personality, rights and interests, political thoughts, social participation and other aspects related to improving people-oriented quality is not paid enough attention. The process of education is the process of developing and improving people's value, and the core of people's value lies in self-awareness and self-realization. Because people's value is judged in the social frame of reference, the essence of self-consciousness is the individual's understanding and evaluation of himself in the social background, so as to understand how to adjust and control his behavior to meet the needs of society. The core of self-realization is driven by outlook on life, pursuing integrity of personality and realizing human value in social undertakings. If our education regards self-awareness and self-realization as selfishness and individualism, and brings nihilism to it, or even regulates the value formation that restricts the development of individual personality in the name of the overall needs of society, the consequences will only lead to real individualism and selfish behavior that lacks social responsibility. Personality education is conducive to the formation of human dignity, which not only requires the society to confirm that "man is the highest value and ultimate goal of social development", but also requires individuals to respect themselves, self-discipline, abide by social ethics, fairly judge right and wrong, and establish social relations of mutual respect and concern with people. At the same time, our education should also make people realize that people are human because they enjoy the rights and obligations of a citizen and also have a responsibility. Without the above awareness, we can only say that our humanistic quality is not high, and it is our educational task to improve, develop and upgrade this quality. At present, people are lamenting that the world is getting worse and worse, which has something to do with our insufficient attention to humanistic quality education.

(D) hinder the reform of teaching methods, affecting the improvement of education quality

Under the traditional exam-oriented education mode, all the work of the school revolves around the baton of the college entrance examination, unified examinations at all levels and examinations, and it is quite common that the management goal has a tendency of quick success and instant benefit. The only criteria for evaluating teachers' teaching quality are scores and enrollment rate, and all education is to test scores. The scientificity and artistry of education no longer have its real connotation. Educational research has turned into exam-oriented research, teachers are busy inculcating knowledge and strengthening skills training, and truly valuable research and exploration lack motivation. It seriously limits the expansion of teachers' knowledge structure and the improvement of various qualities. As far as the educational books listed at present are concerned, there are endless information books for students' intensive training, but there are very few books on real pedagogy, psychology and teaching methods. Isn't this good circumstantial evidence?

(E) the waste of investment in education

In order to cope with the enrollment rate and improve the repetition rate, many schools cause unnecessary repetition of education and waste educational investment. In addition, the cost of students' purchasing materials for exam-oriented exams with intensive training as the main means is staggering.

(six) hinder the development of personality and stifle creativity.

Under the examination-oriented education mode, the educational goal is narrow and the educational means are single. School components transform people's "educational machines" according to a mold. People's personality development has not been paid due attention to, and traditional exam-oriented education is very easy to encourage managers and right tendencies in school education, which is very unfavorable to cultivating and enriching students' personality. In addition, the cultivation of creativity, which is regarded as the most important goal of future education by all countries in the world, needs a relaxed, democratic, free and colorful school education atmosphere. Creative personality, such as pursuing truth, being brave in exploration, thinking independently, taking risks and taking the initiative, can only be produced in this atmosphere. However, the traditional exam-oriented education model provides students with a closed, confined, narrow and high-pressure school cage, so that the students trained in this way can only be some operational talents at best, not creative talents.

(seven) the burden is too heavy, which seriously affects the physical and mental development of young people.

At present, due to the top-down promotion rate and the average score of the two batons, excessive study and intensive training are widely used in teaching, which leads to too much homework for students, the indispensable game time and physical exercise time for primary and secondary school students are not guaranteed, and even normal Sundays and holidays are squeezed out, which affects the healthy development of young students. At the same time, it also caused many psychological diseases, such as phobia, truancy, depression and loneliness after repeated setbacks in study.

(eight) lead to serious differentiation of students, weariness of learning and the loss of poor students, artificially creating educational inequality.

Because of the heavy study burden and monotonous study life, primary and secondary school students are more and more tired of learning. According to many survey results, the number of primary and secondary school students who are tired of learning now exceeds 1/3, among which there are many excellent students. In the exam-oriented mode, the educational competition is stimulated to an inappropriate degree, and the losers in the competition often can't get the help they deserve, resulting in the differentiation of students' learning level and the expansion of poor students. Many poor students drop out of school under the pressure of competition, which not only violates the compulsory education law, but also is an artificial educational inequality.

(9) Increase the burden on teachers, intensify unreasonable competition among teachers, and affect the stability of teachers.

Traditional exam-oriented education tends to strengthen training and sea tactics. This will inevitably lead to the increase of teachers' workload and the tendency of quick success and instant benefit in school management. Many schools even link students' test scores and enrollment rate with teachers' salaries and bonuses, which will lead to intensified competition among teachers and increase teachers' psychological pressure. With the continuous updating of industrial and agricultural technology and equipment, the working conditions of workers in all walks of life have been improved. It's just that primary and secondary school teachers are under increasing pressure from examination machines, and teachers are generally quite tired of teaching, coupled with low pay, which leads to the instability of the teaching staff.

(10) The teacher-student relationship is tense

Under the examination-oriented education mode, the relationship between teachers and students is generally tense, which is due to the following reasons: first, the educational goal is single, the method is monotonous, the burden is heavy, students are tired of learning and psychologically rebellious. Secondly, students are in a passive position, there are many compulsory factors in the education process, and the management tendency in school education is developing. Furthermore, educational competition brings great pressure to students and teachers, and both teachers and students are overburdened, which affects their emotional stability. Moreover, there is a utilitarian tendency in education, and students become teachers' tools to earn scores, which leads to the alienation between teachers and students. In addition, teachers prefer top students to underachievers and cannot teach students in accordance with their aptitude, which makes the educational atmosphere very strong.

(eleven) leading to serious drawbacks in the examination.

The exam-oriented education model, which takes exams and scores as students' standards, distorts the function of exams, which are not for testing and feedback, but for teaching. On the contrary, examination has become the purpose of teaching, and teaching is only for examination, grading, ranking and so on. The function and function of the examination are severely restricted. This situation of putting the cart before the horse has promoted the prevalence of cheating. It exists not only in middle schools, but also in college entrance examinations and primary schools. In order to get false high scores in the test scores of their own classes, individual teachers even hint at cheating methods, which pollutes the style of study and is very unfavorable to the healthy development of students' body and mind.

Based on the above disadvantages and irrationality of exam-oriented education, it can be seen that the transition from exam-oriented education to quality education is imperative.

After reading the article "Disadvantages of Exam-oriented Education", I would like to ask, have you ever thought about the root cause of this result?

There are two obvious reasons:

First, the resource advantage of higher education: the state has invested heavily, but the opportunities are not equal. Some people have a chance to accept that some people just

There is no chance. It is bound to cause fierce competition. It is the inevitable result of competition among students that the exam results are mandatory.

Second, employment opportunities look at diplomas, not knowledge. It is the root of exam-oriented education.

Examination-oriented education has formed a serious vicious circle. China is a country with a large population and a serious shortage of resources. Faced with such a situation, in order to select talents from such a large population, we can only use this worst method.

I think the fundamental reason is that our comprehensive national strength is not strong and our ability is not enough, which leads to such a pessimistic scene! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
