Dong Feng, the originator of Xinglin culture, is as famous as Zhang Zhongjing in Nanyang and Hua Tuo in Qiaoxian County, and is also known as the "Jian 'an Sanshen Doctor" in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. Dong Feng's deeds are widely celebrated among the people. Dong Feng's spirit of Xinglin is regarded as a model by the industry, and Lushan Xinglin is regarded as a sacred place by the world.

Since ancient times, physicians have been proud of being among the "Xinglin people", medical books are based on "Xinglin medical records", medical skills are praised by "Xinglin master", medical ethics is praised by "Xinglin spring warmth" and medical ethics is respected by "Xinglin health preservation".

Xingtan is now the building of Confucius Temple. Xingtan was built to commemorate Confucius' lecture. When Daofu Kong, the grandson of the 45th Confucius, supervised the renovation of the Confucius Temple, he moved the main hall to an altar, and apricot trees were planted around it, which was named "Apricot Altar". Xingtan is a glorious symbol of Confucius' education.
