In the soul-stirring war against SARS, young college students are hesitant and nervous in the face of severe tests, but the majority of students have finally withstood the test and become an important force in the fight against SARS in colleges and even in the whole society. At the same time, their outlook on life and values have been baptized and their thoughts have been sublimated. The practice of fighting against SARS has proved that contemporary college students are a trustworthy generation and can shoulder the historical responsibility of national rejuvenation. After the fight against SARS, the changes in college students' thoughts and behaviors are extensive and profound, and the changing trend is positive and civilized. The reason why such gratifying changes have taken place is that the continuous accumulation of ideological and political education is the deep foundation to promote the ideological transformation of college students. Since the Fourth Plenary Session of the 13th CPC Central Committee, local education departments and colleges and universities have conscientiously implemented the spirit of the relevant instructions of the Central Committee, attached great importance to and earnestly strengthened and improved ideological and political work in colleges and universities, and achieved remarkable results. First, we have always adhered to the correct direction of education, unswervingly carried out education on ideals and beliefs, patriotism, collectivism and socialism, and achieved positive results. The second is to make full use of the main channel of "two courses" to carry out systematic ideological and theoretical education. Constantly improving the education and teaching of the "two courses" in colleges and universities, and striving to highlight the pertinence and effectiveness, plays a very key role in improving the ideological and moral quality of college students and establishing a correct world outlook, outlook on life and values. Third, follow the law of education and carry out flexible and diverse ideological education activities in all directions.
