Full-time self-study examination and general higher education: differences and connections
Although full-time self-taught examination and general higher education belong to the national education system, there are some obvious differences between them. This paper will discuss the difference between full-time self-taught examination and ordinary higher education from the aspects of entrance threshold, graduation requirements and education level.

Different entry thresholds

Full-time general education implements "strict entrance and wide exit", which requires higher scores in college entrance examination, while self-taught examination is "wide entrance and strict exit", and the entrance threshold is relatively low.

Different graduation requirements

Full-time self-taught examination requires strict graduation, and the final examination is jointly organized by the national (provincial) examination committee and the school. While ordinary higher education is relatively relaxed.

The level of education is equivalent

Although full-time self-study examination is not a planned enrollment, it is a useful supplement to the planned enrollment, and its education level is not inferior to that of ordinary higher education at the same level. Both of them share teaching resources, and their graduation degrees have the same legal status.
