3. Metacognitive strategy

Metacognition is mainly the cognitive awareness and understanding of one's own mental state, ability, task objectives, strategies, etc., and the planning, monitoring, evaluation and adjustment of one's various activities. Metacognitive strategies are the adjustment of the adoption, monitoring and evaluation of knowledge and plans in the cognitive process. Metacognitive Excellence strategy is widely used in language learners. In language learning, they can concentrate on learning activities, prepare adequately in a planned way, pay attention to language input and output, and correctly evaluate their own learning, learning plan and learning effect. However, the average student lacks this knowledge, and their study is very dependent on the teacher. Therefore, teachers should pay attention to the metacognitive knowledge and experience that are most suitable for students in teaching. Generally speaking, metacognitive strategies include the following:

(1) Make a study plan.

(2) self-evaluation.

(3) According to individual characteristics, choose the learning strategy that suits you.

Support strategy

1, compensation strategy

Compensation strategy enables language learners to use a new language with limited new knowledge. This strategy is applied in a relatively high number when students begin to learn English, because when they begin to learn English, they will feel very fresh, just like his Xue Hui words or phrases "show" on various occasions, but as time goes by. This interest is gradually weakening. Under the influence of exam-oriented education, English teaching in China aims at getting high marks in exams, not for lack of English communication environment with students. Therefore, what is rarely used in life and study is "dumb English", which has attracted the attention of English teachers.

2. Social strategies

My students don't often use social strategies. This may be the place where our students learn languages related to the environment. In a learning environment where English is a foreign language, it is difficult for students to have the opportunity to learn English in a natural communication environment except for formal study outside the classroom. However, this situation may change with China's accession to the WTO. After GATT, the importance of English will be realized by more people, and as a communication tool, it will become a necessity in life. Some places in this area are ahead. Sichuan and Chongqing, as the main employment places of foreign teachers, take opportunities for students to communicate with foreigners to improve their English learning level.

3. Emotional strategies

Emotional strategy refers to the way that learners adjust and manage their emotions and emotions. It is conducive to cultivating students' necessary motivation, self-confidence and perseverance to actively participate in language learning activities, so it has an important impact on language learning, which cannot be overemphasized. Successful language learners know how to control their emotions, emotions and learning attitudes. However, many students have different degrees of emotional problems. For example, excessive anxiety, loss of self-confidence, etc., some students even have serious psychological obstacles. Students seldom use affective strategies, which may be because they don't realize the importance of affective strategies in language learning activities, or don't understand all kinds of affective strategies that are helpful to learning. Therefore, in the future foreign language teaching, students should be encouraged to reduce their anxiety through strategies, such as enhancing their self-confidence to adjust their emotions, thus providing indirect support for the coordination of language learning. Generally speaking, emotional strategies include the following:

(1) Establish confidence in foreign language learning.

(2) Foreign language training with positive attitude.

(3) Understand the significance of foreign language learning.

(4) Be good at finding pleasure in learning foreign languages.

(5) Overcome shyness and anxiety in foreign language learning.

(6) Using a foreign language is not afraid of making mistakes.

(7) Adjust your mood of paying attention to foreign language learning.

(8) Understand the feelings of others.

(9) Be willing to help other students.

Generally speaking, middle school students in China have the above strategies for learning English, which depends on the methods used by Oxford students and me. Of course, different researchers have different views. The question now is how do we let students acquire learning strategies?
