Gansu National Unity and Progress Publicity Month is in May every year. The four major educations of national unity and progress refer to the education of laws and regulations, ethnic policy, ethnic theory and ethnic knowledge. This provision is found in article 4 of the Constitution of People's Republic of China (PRC). All ethnic groups in People's Republic of China (PRC) are equal. There is no distinction between high and low. The state protects the legitimate interests of ethnic minorities, prohibits discrimination and oppression against any ethnic group, and prohibits acts that undermine national unity.
