Continuing medical education credits refer to on-the-job continuing education after completing basic medical education and medical education after graduation. Its purpose is to make on-the-job health workers constantly learn new knowledge and technology related to their majors and keep up with the development of medical science. Therefore, from the function of education, it belongs to the category of adult education and is the continuation, supplement and perfection of professional education.
Carry out lifelong training activities on new theories, new knowledge, new methods and new technologies for health personnel who have completed medical education in colleges and universities. The purpose is to make health personnel constantly update their knowledge throughout their career, improve their professional technical level and working ability, adapt to the development of medical science and technology and health undertakings, and better serve the military medical support and national defense construction.
Issuance and management of credit certificates for continuing medical education;
(a) the national and provincial continuing medical education project credit certificates are uniformly printed by the national and provincial continuing medical education committees respectively. Designated societies and organizations shall print credit certificates in accordance with the unified style stipulated by the National Committee for Continuing Medical Education.
(2) Class I credit certificate of distance continuing medical education project. First, the distance education institution hosting the project provides the relevant materials for the students to participate in the study, and the corresponding credit certificate is issued after verification by the provincial continuing medical education department where the students are located.
(three) the national continuing medical education project and the designated project organized by the National Continuing Medical Education Committee shall accept the supervision of the provincial continuing medical education project committee. The organizer shall report the relevant information to the provincial continuing medical education Committee where the project is located for the record 2 weeks before the project is held.
(4) Any unit that practises fraud, issues certificates or grants credits will be punished according to the seriousness of the case, such as informed criticism, national notification, suspension of 1~3 years of national and provincial continuing medical education programs.
