It is the inherent requirement of building a harmonious socialist society to carry out legal publicity and education in depth. China is in a critical period of reform and development. With the further deepening of reform, the contradictions and problems faced by economic and social development may be more complicated and prominent at present and for a long time to come.
Carrying out legal publicity and education in depth is an objective requirement for strengthening the party's ruling ability and advanced construction, and is a major strategic decision made by our party. Ruling by law is the basic way for the Party to govern under the new historical conditions, and it is an inevitable requirement for strengthening the Party's advanced construction, improving its ruling ability and consolidating its ruling position.
Only by strengthening the publicity and education of the legal system can we firmly establish the concept of equality before the law, safeguarding legal authority and acting in strict accordance with the law in the whole society, so that citizens can know, abide by the law, use and protect the law, consciously use legal means to manage economic and social affairs, and push social management onto the track of the rule of law.
The necessity of legal publicity and education: educate young people with the basic knowledge of socialist democracy and law, so that they can receive democratic training and law-abiding education from an early age, know and be good at fulfilling the rights and obligations of socialist citizens, enhance the concept of legal system, and form a habit of consciously obeying the law. It is one of the contents of moral education.
According to the principle of socialist democracy, socialist countries establish equal relations between people and correct the relationship between individuals and society; Socialist democracy construction must be combined with socialist legal system construction. Through ideological and moral courses in primary schools, legal knowledge courses and constitutional lectures in middle schools and universities, class activities of the Young Pioneers and the Communist Youth League, and extracurricular and off-campus activities, students are educated in democracy and the legal system.
