This is a scientific activity in itself, and one of the best ways for children to show their creativity in scientific practice is painting, that is, the creation of popular science art, including the creation of science fiction painting.
Second, teachers should pay attention to several issues before the creation of popular science art. First, whether the creation of works is appropriate.

Three basic elements of children's popular science works: one is scientific, which includes three reasons.

The National Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition is a national youth science and technology education activity which is jointly sponsored by China Association for Science and Technology, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Science and Technology. The National Youth Science and Technology Innovation Science Fiction Painting Competition is one of the main series. This year, Shaoke Station organized more than 30 schools in our district to participate in this competition. After selection at district, city and national levels, it won 2 national second prizes, 2 municipal first prizes, 9 municipal second prizes and many other awards. It's the first time to form a team, with good results and a lot of experience. I want to talk about my views and opinions on this contest and related popular science art activities.
1. It is one of the scientific and technological activities of teenagers to train them to express science and technology with painting.
We live in an era of knowledge economy, and information is changing rapidly. In material production, knowledge is regarded as a tool of ideology. In scientific life, acquiring knowledge has also become the main purpose. Exploring the unknown world is the core of scientific activities. Teenagers, including young children, explore the unknown through their own practical activities, which is a scientific activity in itself. The best form of children's scientific practice creation is through painting, which is what we usually call the creation of popular science works of art. As an important part of popular science works, science fiction painting has become a beneficial popular science activity that teenagers all over the world like to participate in. It inserted the wings of scientific imagination for children while learning knowledge, and played a very important role in activating children's body and mind, inspiring creative inspiration, cultivating innovative thinking, trying to use both hands and brain, and advocating the integration and exchange of science and art. Leonardo da Vinci, a famous representative in the Renaissance in history, was also a scientific inventor (sketch design of tires and helicopters).
Of course, while creating popular science art, as an instructor, we should first pay attention to the following points: First, the conception of the work creation must be appropriate. There are many contents suitable for sci-fi creation, and the creative techniques are different. Therefore, no matter what kind of creativity and techniques are, for teenagers at all stages, they must conform to their knowledge level and mastery of science and technology to stimulate their creative desire, and of course, the degree of requirements can be slightly higher to explore their creative talents; Second, we should believe in the creativity of teenagers, guide teachers to have a clear direction when arranging creative requirements, and at the same time, encourage them to boldly imagine and create in many ways in order to achieve the established picture effect, make a pertinent analysis of the works designed in the first draft according to the actual situation, and fully affirm those excellent works with bold ideas and unique ways; Third, we should look at teenagers' sci-fi painting creation with childlike innocence. For children's improvisational first draft works at the initial stage of creation, teachers are required to examine the works from the perspective of teenagers themselves with pure childlike innocence, because the first draft works often condense teenagers' initial imagination and understanding of the scientific field, and should affirm and further stimulate those tiny successes and small creativity.
Two, the three basic elements of the creation of popular science works of art:
1, the scientific nature of popular science works of art
Among the basic requirements of popular science works, the first is the scientific nature of the works, and children's popular science works are no exception. It includes two meanings. First, authenticity, the content of popular science art works must have certain authenticity, whether it is conception or creativity. The life of popular science art lies in truth, and it must not be falsified or made out of nothing. The authenticity here is essentially materialism, which draws a clear line with pseudoscience such as * * *. In this sense, the scientific nature of science fiction painting should be true and feasible, which shows that the fantasy and assumption of science fiction painting should be based on scientific fantasy and assumption, and the assumption and realm of fantasy must also reflect scientific nature, so that the created works of art can enable viewers to ponder the future scientific and technological world through scientific images and artistic conception; Second, accuracy. The accuracy mentioned here includes both the accuracy of the contents of popular science works and the accuracy of the application of a series of scientific principles. In the process of creating sci-fi paintings, how to guide children to describe the scientific principles of objects more accurately is one of the difficulties in the creation of children's sci-fi paintings.
In this year's Science Fiction Painting Innovation Competition, the author browsed the relevant scientific and technological books while Chen Yiwei, a student of Minhang No.2 Middle School in our district, created the entry "High-altitude Lightning Collector". On the basis of applying the law of energy conversion, he boldly predicted how human beings will invent scientific and technological products through scientific and technological means in the future, collect lightning energy in a thunderstorm, and make lightning, which often harms human beings and causes material and life losses, become a resource for people. This work won the national second prize and the municipal first prize of science fiction painting in the 17th National Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition.
To sum up, the prediction of the future and scientific fantasy are important themes of children's science fiction painting, and the basic basis of such works should be based on accurate and true science. Pseudoscience and unscientific fantasy will lead people astray, and the perpetual motion thought in history is an obvious example.
2. Creativity of children's popular science works.
As an important form of popular science art, the essence of science fiction painting is to boldly predict and develop new scientific content on the basis of certain correct principles, which is itself a creative process. So how to correctly guide teenagers to choose the creative content of their works? I think, first, we should guide students to establish correct creative intentions. Everyone who writes an article should consciously or unconsciously answer this question: "Why should I write this article?" ? This is the author's original idea, so as a teacher, we should first establish the concept that science fiction painting was created by children themselves, in order to let children establish a scientific world outlook and methodology through their own ideas, that is, to pursue scientific knowledge, otherwise they will fall into the quagmire of pseudoscience. Among this year's entries, one of them, The Bottle Planter, was unanimously criticized by the national jury for deviating from scientific principles and violating basic ethics. Second, we should guide students to choose suitable subjects and themes. As a picture of science fiction painting, first of all, we should show some scientific creations and scientific and technological inventions that have not been realized by human beings, including those that are being realized in the near future, and be novel; Second, it should be targeted. For some problems that can't be solved in real life, it is the key to science fiction painting's creation to solve them through children's correct creativity. For example, in the new century, environmental protection urgently needs social attention. Today's teenagers will face many more serious and threatening environmental problems when they grow up. Choosing this theme will naturally increase the creative space of their works. This year's innovation competition, the winning works are basically focused on the theme of environmental protection, which is an obvious example. The space garbage collector designed by Chen Yun Hua from Bijiang Primary School in our district has led people to the deepest and farthest level of environmental protection. Of course, in the process of theme selection, we should further explore children's childlike interest and achieve creative effects through children's rich creative associations. It is said that the original idea of "space garbage collection station" was decided by the teacher, but the young author can take the initiative to give full play to his love for aerospace and related scientific and technological products, and design this space cleaning ship with clear structure and clear functions through rich imagination and bold creativity. At the same time, this painting won the second prize in science fiction painting and the first prize in the 17th National Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition.
3. The artistry of children's popular science works.
Children's popular science works express scientific and technological contents in artistic form, including popular science works with plastic arts, and scientific and technological images with artistic techniques (including painting and sculpture) by means of color, light and shade, lines and composition, and so do science fiction paintings ... Works without artistry are not popular science works, and at best they can only be counted as scientific and technological drawings. Ilya, a popular science writer in the former Soviet Union, said: "Science and art begin at the same time." The artistry of popular science requires us to express the beauty of science and technology with the law of artistic creation and reflect the beauty of human beings engaged in scientific and technological activities. This is an organic combination of science and art, and the works of popular science art can give young people a beautiful edification and feeling, and further reflect the inner beauty of science and technology.
The above are some experiences and feelings that I have gradually accumulated since I was engaged in children's popular science art creation and participated in the national youth science and technology innovation competition for science fiction painting for eight years. I hope to correct my shortcomings.
