What is the connotation and significance of compulsory education?
With the development of society, the interpretation of compulsory education has deepened its connotation. The core of compulsory education in 1980s refers to parents' obligations to their children. In the 20th century, with the strengthening of national strength, compulsory education is not limited to the obligations of parents, but extended to the obligations of the government. The combination of family and government constitutes a three-dimensional and forward-looking basic education responsibility. I will not analyze it from the government's human rights concept and humanistic care for the time being, but only from the perspective of the educated. First, compulsory education is conducive to getting rid of the feudal family concept, expanding the scope of gratitude, letting children get rid of the barriers of a single family, and giving "serving the motherland" a real image and foundation. A commentary by the American RAND Company on China people pointed out: "China people don't understand their responsibilities and obligations to the country and society as social individuals. Ordinary people in China usually only care about their families and relatives. China's culture is based on family kinship rather than rational society. " The formation of family consanguinity has a certain relationship with farming culture. Over the years, a family has been multiplying and living together, taking care of each other, helping each other, helping each other, and being indispensable. Over time, this blood relationship has become the most important and indispensable relationship form in social communication. However, farming culture can't cover all the reasons, and the state can't undertake the obligation of education, or it just supplements it secretly, which is also an important factor that leads to the failure of the new generation of gratitude ethics to extend to society. Now in the compulsory education stage, the new generation of students have personally felt that the society has borne a considerable part of the study expenses and felt the concrete and tangible contribution of the country. Their growth is closely linked with the country and society. Human beings have a basic conscience and know how to repay. Once they are adults, have a career and achievements, they naturally think of giving back-giving back to the society and the motherland. Because my growth is not purely a family contribution, I have become a caring member of society since I was a child, and my family concept is relatively weak, and my sense of social responsibility will be stronger. I can rise from my love for my family to my love for society and my country. Second, with the establishment and improvement of the social security system, compulsory education can also promote family planning and save people from the traditional low-level dependent life of "having more children and more happiness". In rural areas, children's education is not a small expense, especially for poor families, who depend on the east and the west to a great extent, and even scrimp and save. Therefore, children feel heavy moral pressure from an early age: how to change the family's predicament through reading, how to honor their ancestors, and how to let their parents enjoy happiness. At present, the education expenses of most young people in rural areas have been borne by the state, and the family moral pressure to repay debts is relatively small, so the family concept is diluted and the sense of family responsibility is not as strong as before. Coupled with the protection of pensions, "many children and many blessings" will inevitably become an outdated concept. Nowadays, the proportion of urban white-collar workers who do not like to have children is getting higher and higher. Although it belongs to a new form of "selfishness" and evades social responsibility, it reveals the essence of "having many children and grandchildren" from one side-enjoying happiness for yourself. In short, the more the country pays in the process of cultivating people, the more perfect the social security system is, the weaker the young people's family concept is, and the concept of enjoying happiness through giving birth is out of date, which is naturally beneficial to family planning, or that giving birth is only regarded as a social responsibility, not a reward. Third, compulsory education is conducive to preventing corruption, improving the sense of social responsibility of Chinese people, especially leaders, and is the ideological basis for promoting social fairness and justice. On the surface, compulsory education funds are paid by the government, and its essence is the contribution of society. Through education, students can understand the truth that taxpayers in society are paying for my growth, and the development and progress of society cannot be separated from everyone's contribution. Students will also pay for the society in the future. Only by constantly paying, can society develop harmoniously. Because I understood the meaning of social responsibility from an early age, I played down the concept of family. This kind of education is gradually strengthened. With the gradual change of social atmosphere, people weigh problems from the social level, which has become an inertial and conscience-rich way of thinking. The main reason for corruption is the interests of family and relatives. People's major premise has changed, and local minor premise is always accompanied by major premise. Why not change it? The reason why compulsory education is forward-looking is that it reflects the inevitable trend of social development: it is conducive to improving the cultural and moral quality of the new generation, getting rid of the pure family-centered theory and being conducive to social fairness and justice. This is my superficial understanding.
