In Haining City, Zhejiang Province, there is a small building that combines Chinese and Western styles, named Xu Zhimo's former residence. The former residence of Xu Zhimo, a small building that records the married life of Xu Zhimo and Lu Xiaoman, is also a building that Xu Zhimo loves very much. He once wrote "Mei Xuan Suoyu" here, which recorded that his married life with Lu Xiaoman was sweet, and also wrote the novel "Guardian" here.

Xu Zhimo was a poet and romantic supremacist in the Republic of China. She was born in a rich family, received a good education, and had a dignified and kind wife. This former residence was once inscribed by Mr. Jin Yong: the former residence of the poet Xu Zhimo. There is a bust of Xu Zhimo in the yard of the former residence. The floor is covered with large tiles with pink patterns, which are generally consistent with the building structure. The corridor is full of calligraphy and painting, which shows that this is a talented family. Both Xu Zhimo and Lu Xiaoman are very romantic, so you can often see various landscapes and famous paintings in the corridor.

Both of them are influenced by western culture, so you can also see all kinds of western-style objects and furnishings here. For example, there is an oil painting hanging on the west wall of the east wing of the main hall, in which Tagore and Xu Zhimo are talking. Combined with western-style furniture such as record player and typewriter, we can see the blending of Chinese and foreign cultures in this house. It embodies the fashion concept of the Republic of China.
