It is reported that "China Compulsory Education Quality Monitoring Report" was recently officially released by the Basic Education Quality Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Education (hereinafter referred to as the Monitoring Center).

The report not only takes Chinese, mathematics and science as the important subjects of national compulsory education quality monitoring, but also brings moral education, physical education and art into the monitoring field, covering a wide range of disciplines, highlighting the importance of monitoring in China for students' all-round development.

According to the report, in the process of formulating monitoring standards and tools, monitoring also systematically analyzed relevant laws, regulations and policy requirements, conducted extensive research in the front line of education, and conducted several trial tests before formal monitoring to ensure that monitoring indicators and tools meet the actual situation of education and teaching, which has wide applicability and can comprehensively and accurately evaluate the development of students in compulsory education in China.

Different from international large-scale educational evaluation projects, the quality monitoring of compulsory education in China is strictly based on the national curriculum standards, and the monitoring index system and tools fully reflect the basic requirements of the national curriculum standards. The results can help us understand the learning situation of students in China, and then accurately grasp the implementation and enforcement of national curriculum standards.
