Public courses and professional courses
Self-taught colleges have to take public courses and professional courses, and there are about 15 courses. Self-taught colleges and universities are single-subject graduation exams. Candidates who apply for self-taught colleges and universities take the single-subject examination organized by the national examination institutions, pass one course and issue a certificate of conformity. Only after all subjects have passed the examination can they apply for graduation.
Public subjects
Self-taught university public subjects are compulsory subjects for every major, such as an introduction to the basic principles of Marxism, an outline of China's modern history, and English II.
Professional subjects
The professional subjects of self-taught colleges are divided by the majors they apply for, such as college Chinese, jurisprudence, constitutional law, introduction to international economic law, civil law, labor law, introduction to economic law, criminal law, company law, western political system, etc.
