1945165438+1October16 Just after World War II, the United Nations conference (ECO/CONF) aimed at establishing educational and cultural organizations was held in London according to the proposal of the meeting of allied education ministers. About 40 GJ representatives attended the meeting. Driven by war-torn GJ countries, France and Britain, the delegates decided to set up an organization with the aim of establishing a real culture of peace. According to their vision, this new organization should establish the unity of human intelligence and morality, so as to prevent the outbreak of a new world war. At the end of the meeting, 37 member countries signed the organic law and UNESCO was born.
UNESCO is an international organization that conducts intergovernmental discussions on education, science and culture. It has five functions:
1) Prospective research: What kind of education, science, culture and communication is needed in tomorrow's world?
2) Development, dissemination and exchange of knowledge: mainly relying on research, training and teaching.
