The Historical Development of shenjiamen Fishing Port
The written records of shenjiamen's place names were first found in Xu Jing's Journal of Xuanhe Korean Mission in the Northern Song Dynasty. According to the book, in the fifth year of Xuanhe in the Northern Song Dynasty (1 123), Xu and others were ordered to go to North Korea and arrived in shenjiamen on May 25th, calling this place "more than ten fishermen, including famous people". And remember the explanation of the door: "Generally, there are mountains opposite each other in the sea, and there are waterways that can pass through the boat, which is called the door." Thus, the place names in shenjiamen are composed of surnames and geographical features of sea areas. The origin of local Shen Shi residents has not been confirmed. According to the records of Daoguang in Qing Dynasty and the relevant documents in modern times, it is believed that the ancient Shen Shi family once lived in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, and its origin may have started here.

Before the Qing Dynasty, the tide in Shenjiamen Port rose to the foothills on the north and south sides. In the forty-eighth year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (1709), several seawalls were built on the north bank, and the flat land area was expanded. By the time of Tongzhi and Guangxu, the coastline on the north shore had expanded, the fishery had begun to take shape, the business was prosperous, and the market town was gradually formed. In the thirty-third year of Guangxu (1907), local textbooks in Dinghai recorded that shenjiamen is the most convenient place for transportation, because its shops are parallel and close to the port. In winter, fishermen who catch hairtail on Fujian ships stay here. The sea is mixed, and the guests come, which is more prosperous. To the south of Hong Kong, the barrier is Lujiazhi, a tourist attraction. At the beginning of the 20th century, shenjiamen was famous at home and abroad as a professional fishing port. In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), Shenbao stated on March 9th: "Dinghai fishing ground in Zhejiang is the highest in China, and shenjiamen is the place where fishermen gather. Every winter in flood season, there are 1200 pairs of big ships, which are released to the ocean for fishing. "

During the Anti-Japanese War, the Japanese occupation period and the later period of the Liberation War, the fishing port and fishery in shenjiamen were devastated and in decline. After liberation, shenjiamen fishing port developed rapidly. 1960, the planning and transformation of the port area has changed greatly. Later, several large-scale transformations and infrastructure construction were carried out one after another, and the port was improved day by day. Aquatic product processing, marine drug manufacturing, shipbuilding, anchor chain, petroleum and other large, medium and small enterprises serving the fishery have developed to hundreds, and the business service industry has flourished and formed a network. In the rear, Zhejiang Ocean University, Institute of Marine Fisheries and other educational and scientific research institutions have formed a strong intellectual support system. At present, the port-facing industrial system of shenjiamen fishing port is on the rise.
