Cultural Relics Protection of Zhoukoudian Peking Man Site
Zhoukoudian Site Museum was founded in 1953, expanded by China Academy of Sciences in 197 1 and renamed as "Peking Man Exhibition Hall". UNESCO World Heritage Committee1987 65438+February approved Zhoukoudian Peking Man Site as a world cultural heritage.

196 1 was announced by the State Council as the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units; 1987 was included in the first batch of World Cultural Heritage List of China by UNESCO; 1992 was listed as a youth education base in Beijing; 1997 The Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China listed it as one of the national 100 demonstration bases for patriotism education. In 2006, it was awarded the National Youth Science Education Base by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League; In 2008, it was rated as a national first-class museum by National Cultural Heritage Administration.
