First, for the purpose of education, life education is the first step, and "moral education" is the first.
Obviously, the ultimate goal of education is to have an effect on the educated, so that they can make breakthroughs and make achievements in life, study and work. From here we find that the object of education is people. On the surface, it acts on people's body-senses, brain and limbs, but in fact it acts on people's soul-emotions, psychology and thinking, and finally it is implemented in words and deeds. It can also be seen from the purpose of education that the ability to live is the primary educational task. In other words, a person who can't live a normal life can't study normally, let alone learn, make a breakthrough and show his talents and abilities at work.
Therefore, education should first attach importance to "adult" education. That is to say, the daily habits, the most basic code of conduct and the minimum moral cultivation, public morality awareness and law and discipline concept are the primary contents of education, and the character education of the educated and the civic education of the whole society are put in the first place. If this step is ignored or missing, education is doomed to failure.
Second, learning education is the main body of education, but learning is not equal to "knowledge", let alone reading.
Please note that what we are talking about here is "learning education", not "knowledge education", let alone reading.
Learning covers a wide range, not only written knowledge, but even knowledge. Of course, in a broad sense, any new information from the world and anything beneficial to people's growth can be regarded as knowledge. The knowledge we usually understand refers to books, or theoretical, especially rational, and ignores the experience gained by various senses, especially personal experience.
The "learning" mentioned here refers to all activities that acquire wisdom and promote inner growth, including books and classes.
We must ensure that book learning accounts for a large proportion, but the current situation is that almost all methods except book learning have been stripped off, and even considered as "doing nothing." In fact, every successful person has experienced a lot outside of book learning, so why don't we apply these methods to school education?
Because our school education is narrowly defined as "knowledge teaching", students' learning is weakened to "book learning" or even "textbook learning", which is not real learning and completely divorced from reality.
Third, the ultimate goal of education is to realize the value of life.
Every life has its own brilliance and value. The purpose of education is to make this life shine the brightest light and realize the greatest value. While shining with its own brilliance, nature has also made due contributions to society, country, people and even mankind.
This reminds me of two points: First, Confucius, a great educator in ancient China, had 3,000 disciples, 72 sages and more than 2,000 "ordinary people". It can't be said that they all do their best and show their abilities, which just confirms Li Bai's famous saying, "Since talent is a gift, let it be used!" ; Second, a foreign principal blessed the students in Class A, Class B and Class C at the graduation ceremony, and divided the students into several categories, not grades but differences, so there is a saying that "it is a failure to teach a top carpenter to be a doctoral student". In other words, our education should pay attention to individual characteristics and teach students in accordance with their aptitude. Through education, we can not only keep its inherent characteristics and natural qualities, but also let its natural tendency be discovered, developed and brought into play, so that it can fully display its personal charm, truly realize the value of its unique life and be the' best self'.
At present, our education is one-size-fits-all. We not only teach students of different natures in the same class with the same content and in the same way, but also evaluate and select all students with unified standards, which causes most students to deviate from or even abandon their inherent natures, and to adapt to and pursue "book theoretical knowledge learning" which is far away from them and even contradictory, so as to determine your survival, life mode and life value.
