The Marine Police College of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force (hereinafter referred to as the Armed Police College) is a command-oriented institution of higher learning led by the Armed Police Force, which is composed of basic departments, military training departments, rights protection and law enforcement departments, intelligence reconnaissance departments, ship command departments, electromechanical management departments, navigation departments and other teaching departments.
It mainly undertakes the training tasks of police officers and police assistants of the marine police, and is the cradle of national maritime rights protection law enforcement personnel training. The college is located in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, near the East China Sea. It is the first batch of ports open to the outside world in China, with developed economy, profound culture, superior environment and convenient transportation.
Historical evolution:
1in September, 1983, the State Council approved the sea patrol training brigade directly under the Armed Police Headquarters to be changed into a surface boat school. 1September, 1993, it was transferred to the Ministry of Public Security and renamed as the Public Security Frontier Boat School. /kloc-0 implemented higher education in March, 1999, and changed its name to Public Security Marine Police College.
On March 20 10, higher undergraduate education was implemented, and it was renamed as Public Security Marine Police College. On June 30, 20 18, it was transferred to the Armed Police Force, and the Marine Police College of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force was established.
Orientation of running a school:
College is the commanding institution of the Armed Police Force. It adheres to the guiding ideology of "focusing on actual combat, serving the army, focusing on development and cultivating qualified talents", and adheres to the school motto of "loyalty, responsibility, honor and ocean", aiming at building a first-class marine police college that matches China Marine Police.
Taking junior commanding police officers and professional technical police officers of marine police organs as the main training targets, it aims to train qualified personnel with knowledge, ability and quality of maritime rights protection, law enforcement and defense operations, and provide talent and intellectual support for the construction and development of marine police organs.
Functions and tasks:
The college insists on serving the marine police colleges in an all-round way and providing talents and intellectual support for the construction and development of marine police colleges. Its functions are mainly "1+3" functions, namely, the marine police talent training base, the maritime rights protection and law enforcement research center, the marine police construction and development decision-making consulting think tank, and the marine police international exchange and cooperation platform.
The college has always regarded the training of marine police personnel as its fundamental task. The training categories include higher education and on-the-job training for police officers, basic and auxiliary training for on-the-job police officers, police training, civilian training and foreign training.
Discipline and major:
The college closely focuses on the mission and task of maritime rights protection and law enforcement of the marine police, takes the construction and development needs of the marine police as the traction, and relies on military science, law, engineering and other disciplines;
It has established a distinctive discipline and specialty system of "focusing on rights protection law enforcement and ship command" and "combining academic education with on-the-job education", and set up more than 40 specialties such as rights protection law enforcement (operational command and law), ship command (operational command and navigation technology) and armed police reconnaissance command (reconnaissance intelligence).

At present, the college has a team of high-level teachers with high professional ethics, exquisite professional skills, rigorous scholarship and dedication. There are more than 20 teachers with senior titles of professor and associate professor 120, nearly 60 doctoral teachers and 7 teaching teachers at provincial and ministerial levels.

Over the years, the college has successively presided over the completion of more than 30 national R&D key projects 1, national social science funds and natural science funds 15, and military and armed police force-level scientific research projects1.
More than 60 textbooks and academic monographs 160 were published, more than 60 academic papers were collected by the three major international searches, more than 50 inventions were patented by the state, and more than 20 research results 120 were transformed into the system regulations and training materials of the marine police.
Teaching conditions:
The college has a training ship brigade, and the existing 2,000-ton and 600-ton ships are used for internship support. There are nearly 90 basic and professional experimental training rooms, among which the Marine Police Ship Simulation Laboratory is the key laboratory of large-scale ship comprehensive simulation in Ningbo, and the Marine Police Ship Comprehensive Simulation Training Center with it as the main body is rated as "Zhejiang Undergraduate Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center".
There are swimming pools, military gymnasiums, basketball gymnasiums, comprehensive training grounds, cultural and sports training centers and other venues with complete cultural and sports facilities. The library has more than 500,000 paper books and 60TB electronic books.
