Nanjing No.1 13 Senior High School, referred to as "Nanjing No.13 Middle School", is located in Xijia Hall, Xuanwu District, Nanjing. It is a national demonstration high school organized by Xuanwu District Education Bureau in Nanjing and a four-star ordinary high school in Jiangsu Province. Founded in 1955, the school is the first complete middle school founded by the party and the people's government after the liberation of Nanjing.

1996, the school was recognized as a provincial key middle school by Jiangsu Provincial Education Commission. In 2000, the school was identified as a national model high school by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education with the highest score in the province. In 2004, the school was renamed as a four-star high school in Jiangsu Province by the Education Department of Jiangsu Province.

As of June 20 13, the school covers an area of 72 mu, with staff 182, 40 classes in ordinary high schools and 8 classes in international high schools, with a total student population of about 2,000.
