The People's Police University of China is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning directly under the Ministry of Public Security. It is the only active college that trains command and management and professional and technical police officers for public security frontier defense, fire fighting and security forces, and is known as the cradle of loyal guards.

The People's Police University of China (hereinafter referred to as "Police University") is located in Langfang City, Hebei Province, and is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning directly under the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China. The school was founded on April 24th, 198 1, formerly known as Chinese People's Armed Police Force College, and was renamed Chinese People's Police University with the approval of the Ministry of Education on September 20th18.

The school is a public security college that trains new police talents, generates new high-quality police force and trains senior police officers for the party and the country. It is the main position to carry out public security education, build public security innovation and promote the innovative development of public security culture. It is a strategic highland for international law enforcement exchanges and cooperation, foreign police training and international student training. It is also the Asian regional training center for United Nations peacekeeping police and a national think tank for studying major strategic issues in the security field.
