However, influenced by traditional educational concepts, many schools still ignore quality education. In order to simply pursue the enrollment rate, we only pay attention to the instillation and memory of knowledge in teaching, ignoring students' active participation and the cultivation of English communicative competence, which makes the lively and wonderful Chinese class boring. So how to ensure quality education in English teaching while imparting knowledge? I think we should do the following:
First, change the educational concept for all students.
The English Teaching Syllabus for Nine-year Compulsory Education Full-time Junior Middle School points out: "The purpose of English teaching in junior middle schools is to enable students to acquire basic English knowledge and the ability to communicate in English, stimulate students' interest in learning, develop good study habits, and lay a preliminary foundation for further study; Educate students in patriotism and socialism; Develop students' thinking ability. " This specifically explains what kind of quality education goals students should achieve in junior high school English teaching. However, exam-oriented education only focuses on students' intellectual education. Education and teaching activities are two-way activities between teachers and students, and teaching only for a few outstanding students violates the purpose of the syllabus. Therefore, we should resolutely oppose exam-oriented education, but face all students and pay attention to inspiring students to learn independently. In teaching, we should constantly improve teaching methods, make teaching methods flexible and diverse, make classroom content rich and colorful, carry out teaching around the development of students' quality, ensure that everyone can accept what is taught, and improve students' quality while completing classroom tasks.
Second, optimize the classroom model
Classroom teaching activities are the main means to complete teaching tasks in primary and secondary schools. Excellent classroom teaching can fully undertake the main task of cultivating and improving students' excellent quality in many aspects. It goes without saying that the main way to implement English quality education is of course English classroom teaching. In the teaching of English quality education, optimizing classroom teaching mode is the key. Teachers should give full play to their leading role in teaching and correctly handle the relationship between teaching and learning. "We should study both teaching methods and learning methods." In order to optimize the classroom model, teachers should optimize teaching objectives, classroom teaching design and teaching methods, so as to achieve the purpose of implementing quality education.
1. Optimize teaching objectives
The teaching objectives of each class should be clear, what to say and to what extent, and should be targeted. Before class, the teacher first makes clear the teaching goal of this course and analyzes the difficulty for students to achieve this goal. 2. Optimize the classroom teaching design

On the contrary, we should emphasize students' dominant position in the classroom and regard students as the masters of the classroom. Guide students from passively accepting knowledge to actively seeking knowledge and let students participate in teaching activities. When optimizing classroom teaching design, we can adopt the mode of "teaching plan guidance" and "heuristic". Teachers play a guiding role, requiring students to preview before class, find out difficulties and doubts, and go to class with questions.
3. Optimize teaching methods
What teaching methods teachers use in class, students will adopt corresponding learning methods, and the learning effect will be directly affected. Therefore, teachers should carefully design every link of the classroom to make the teaching methods flexible and diverse. Generally speaking, although the content of each class is different, it is nothing more than three parts: reviewing what you have learned, teaching new knowledge and consolidating exercises. But in each step, the teacher can adopt different methods. In the whole teaching activity, teachers should observe the reaction of the whole class, ensure that the content taught is accepted by everyone, and complete the overall teaching task of the classroom.
Thirdly, improving teachers' own quality is the key to implementing quality education.
Facts have proved that the development and progress of any country and region cannot be separated from the power of education. Teachers play a key role in the development and reform of education. The same content, because of different names, students' learning effect will be different. Teachers' teaching ability directly affects students' learning effect. Therefore, the key to the transformation of primary and secondary education from one-sided pursuit of enrollment rate to quality education lies in the continuous improvement of teachers' quality. Teachers and schools should focus on the improvement of students' comprehensive quality from simply pursuing knowledge transfer. Teachers should establish a new relationship between teachers and students in their work, respect students' differences and try their best to meet the needs of different students in learning English. To establish a correct concept of education and teaching in teaching, we should not only have accurate and rich English professional knowledge, but also learn more extensive social and cultural knowledge. While improving the ability of education and teaching, we should also constantly improve the ability of scientific research. In teaching, we should think deeply and explore carefully to find a better educational method that is more suitable for our students. After class, you should reflect on your own gains and losses in teaching. The good aspects continue to develop, and the bad aspects are adjusted in time. Dare to think about the success or failure and reasons in teaching, and constantly improve your quality while knowing yourself.
In a word, quality education is by no means empty talk and must be stepped up. Our English class should not only achieve the goal of cultivating students' English communicative competence, but also achieve the standard of improving students' quality. Teachers should attach importance to ideological and moral education in foreign language teaching, try to dig out the ideological education factors in textbooks, infiltrate ideological quality and patriotic ideological education in the classroom in time with book knowledge as the carrier, promote students to form good ideological cultivation and moral quality, build up confidence, constantly overcome difficulties in learning, and lay a foundation for future growth. Implementing quality education in English teaching is the requirement of the development of the times. We educators should constantly improve their own quality and make their own contributions to the all-round development of education.
