Zhejiang Open University (formerly Zhejiang Radio and TV University) was established in June, 1979, 1. It is a provincial modern distance open university with open education as the main body, diversified education and coordinated development of various educational types.
Starting from compensatory education, the school has successively held undergraduate and self-taught examinations for general higher education and adult higher education, registered audio-visual education and single-subject education. Over the past 40 years, 87 majors have been set up in education, economy, literature, law, engineering, agriculture, management and other disciplines, and more than 885,000 applied professionals have been trained.

The main color of the sign is blue, which symbolizes the great sea and the sky and represents the characteristics of openness, tolerance, pluralism and flexibility of the school.
