The continuing education of archival professionals should be no less than 90 hours per year, of which archival professional subjects are generally no less than 80 hours.

The hours obtained by archival professionals in continuing education shall not be carried over to the next year. Archives professionals to participate in continuing education in the following ways, included in my continuing education hours:

1. Attend archives training courses, seminars or refresher courses.

2. Participate in archival business practice activities related to education and training.

3. Participate in distance education of archives.

4, to participate in archives academic conferences, lectures, academic visits and other activities.

5 other ways approved by the archives administration department at or above the provincial level or the administrative department of human resources and social security.

Provisions on continuing education of archival professionals:

1 In order to standardize and promote the continuing education activities of archival professionals, safeguard their rights and interests, and continuously improve their quality, these Provisions are formulated in accordance with the Archives Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), Regulations on Education and Training of Cadres, Regulations on Continuing Education of Professional and Technical Personnel and other relevant regulations, and in combination with the actual situation of archival departments.

2. These Provisions shall apply to the continuing education of full-time and part-time archivists of national archives administration departments at all levels, all kinds of archivists, state organs, enterprises, institutions and social organizations.

3. The continuing education of archival professionals is the basic and strategic work to build a team of high-quality archival talents. The continuing education of archival professionals must fully implement the deployment requirements of the Party and the state for the development of archival undertaking, cultivate and bring up archival professionals with ideals and beliefs, professional ethics, innovative consciousness and professional ability, and provide talent guarantee and intellectual support for the development of archival undertaking.
