There are four such colleges in China.

1. Institute of International Relations, referred to as "Guo Guan", is located in the western suburbs of Beijing, directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), and is one of the six "small-scale pilot universities" of the Ministry of Finance. It is a national key university with foreign languages and international issues as its teaching and research direction.

2. The Foreign Affairs University was established in September, 1955. It was initiated by Premier Zhou Enlai, approved by the CPC Central Committee and Chairman Mao, and established on the basis of the School of Foreign Affairs of Renmin University of China. Premier Zhou personally wrote the name of the College, and Marshal Chen Yi, then Vice Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State Council, served as the first president of the Foreign Affairs College.

3. Shanghai Customs College started from 1908 when the Qing government established the tax school in Beijing, and it is one of the earliest schools engaged in higher vocational customs education in the world. Shanghai Customs College was formerly known as Shanghai Customs School, which was established in 1953. 1980 was approved by the State Council and upgraded to Shanghai Customs College; 1996 changed its name to Shanghai Customs College.

4. The school of Beijing Institute of Electronic Technology was formerly a training course for young cadres of the Central Working Committee held in Xibaipo, Pingshan County, Hebei Province in August 1947, and was renamed Nanjing Secret School, Beijing Secret School and Xuanhua Secret School. 198 1, upgraded to Beijing Institute of Electronics; 1992, upgraded to Beijing Institute of Electronic Technology; 65438-0993 Zhongnanhai Amateur University merged into Beijing Institute of Electronic Technology.
