Strengthening principle is the most important part and foundation of Skinner's theory. He believes that the change in behavior is due to reinforcement. Reinforcement can be divided into two forms: positive reinforcement and negative reinforcement. Punishment refers to presenting an aversion to stimulation, so that the punished person has to temporarily stop the ongoing reaction when receiving stimulation.
Educational theory is a systematic statement of educational problems through a series of educational concepts, educational judgments or propositions and with the help of certain reasoning forms. Educational theory has the following three basic provisions: first, educational theory consists of educational concepts, educational propositions and certain reasoning methods. Because any theory must be formed by basic thinking forms such as concepts, judgments or propositions, if there is no educational concept or proposition, it is only a systematic description of educational phenomena, even if it is systematic, it is not an educational theory, but only a statement of educational phenomena. Second, educational theory is an abstract summary of educational phenomena or educational facts. In essence, theory transcends concrete facts and experiences. Although it is a statement system in form, it expounds educational facts and experiences in a condensed form in content, which is not a direct copy of educational facts and phenomena, but an indirect abstract reflection. Third, educational theory is systematic. A single educational concept or proposition cannot constitute a certain system or educational theory without the help of a certain logical form. Even if it is a general reflection of educational phenomena and facts, it may only be a scattered educational concept or educational thought.
