The principle that education conforms to nature is a basic guiding principle that runs through Comenius' whole education system. He put forward this principle because he thought that "there was no perfect school before". In the final analysis, the reason why those imperfect schools have all kinds of disadvantages is that the educational work of the school at that time did not conform to the natural order of things, "so that the school has become a place of terror for children and a slaughterhouse for them to display their talents ..." He believes that this bad school must be reformed.
