Brief introduction of Allen Walton, a British dyeing and weaving designer.
Born in 189 1, Candir, Cheshire. After completing his studies in Harrow, he studied architecture at Arnold Mitchell College in London and fine arts at Westminster College of Art.. He also went to Paris and received an education at Slade School. 1954, Walton was appointed as the director of Glasgow Art School, probably on the recommendation of W.O. hutcheson. He evaluated textile design in four art schools in Scotland and became a famous external evaluator of textile design in Glasgow Art School. Walton and his colleagues get along well with students. He often holds tea parties for students in the office and often goes to concerts/concerts that students like, although an "authority figure" like him will be laughed at by students in that place. He successfully runs his own business in the south of England, named Allan Walton Textiles, which mainly produces printing and decorative materials. Their product features were designed by Duncan Grant, Vanessa Bell, Frank Dobson and Walton himself. He also provides customized interior decoration and garden design services for others, designing electric heating and furniture. Shengzhi Walton's textile products are considered to be one of the best. Walton was also one of the first designers to be selected into the royal industry. He mainly lives in London and Shortley, Suffolk, and travels extensively in Britain and other countries. 1948, he was honored to be appointed professor of textile design at the Royal College of Art, but he fell ill and died before he could accept it. He died on September 2002 1948+02.
