Li Yutang (1899- 195 1) was born in a landlord family in the west of Dawangqiao, Guangrao County, Shandong Province. My father's name is Xu Qi, and my mother's name is Yan. Li Yutang ranks fourth in the family, with two brothers and one sister in the world and two brothers and one sister in the world. The Li family has been engaged in farming for generations. By Li's generation, the land has been more than 60 mu, and the family is relatively rich, which has enabled Li Yutang to receive a good education since childhood. Before 1906, he entered a private school to receive enlightenment education, and then he entered the second district of Guangrao (Liujiaji) Zhenhua High School and Hexi Ethnic School.

19 15 After Yuan Shikai proclaimed himself emperor in Beijing, Li Yutang devoted himself to Yan Student Camp and participated in the battle of Yuan. 19 16 Yuan Shikai died of illness and the student camp was dissolved. Li returned to his hometown, and one year later, he was admitted to Jinan Public Industrial School to study in metallurgical class A.. 19 19 During the May 4th Movement, he took an active part in the diplomatic support club, led a rally in his hometown to destroy Japanese goods as a representative of the Shandong support club, and bit his finger in public and wrote the slogan "Conscience saves the country" in blood to show his patriotic determination. After studying hard for four years, Li Yutang, who wanted to make a difference, decided to join the army after feeling that his country was bullied by the European, American and Japanese powers and the civil war was not over. So he joined the Shanxi NCO Education Corps for training at 192 1. After graduation, he served as the sergeant squad leader and warrant officer secretary of the artillery corps of the Jin army.
