In China, the certification of academic qualifications and degrees is the responsibility of the Service Center for Studying Abroad (CSCSE) of the Ministry of Education. Academic certification generally requires the following materials: degree certificate, report card, graduation certificate, study plan during studying abroad, dissertation, etc. For degree certification, it is also necessary to provide the originals and photocopies of master's and doctoral dissertations, as well as the originals and photocopies of degree-granting certificates. During the certification process, the Overseas Study Service Center of the Ministry of Education will review the materials provided to confirm whether they meet the certification requirements.
Those who pass the certification will receive a certification certificate and a certification report, which will indicate information such as academic qualifications, degree level, awarding time and awarding institution. As for whether the certification score needs to reach more than 400 points, at present, the study abroad service center of the Ministry of Education has not made clear provisions on this. However, according to past experience and practice, if applicants with academic qualifications or degree certification can get higher scores in international English tests such as TOEFL or IELTS, it will be helpful to the certification application and may have a positive impact on the certification results. However, the specific certification results still depend on the authenticity and integrity of the materials.
