1, Zhejiang University

Zhejiang University, referred to as "Zhejiang University" for short, was formerly Qiushi College and was founded in 1897. It is one of the earliest new institutions of higher learning founded by China people themselves. 1928 was named National Zhejiang University. 1937 moved westward, running schools in Zunyi and Meitan, and 1946 moved back to Hangzhou in the autumn.
