1958 In September, Yunnan Province established the West Yunnan University of Workers and Peasants (later renamed as West Yunnan University) in Dali, and its campus is located in Xiaguan Campus of our school. 1In the summer of 1960, Dali Teachers College was established, and 196 1 was merged into Yunnan Western University at the end of the year. 1962 the university of western Yunnan is closed.

200 1 10 With the approval of the Ministry of Education, Dali Medical College and Dali Normal College merged, and Dali College was formed by the merger of Yunnan Radio and TV University Dali Branch and Dali Technical School. These schools are the predecessors of Dali University.

On June 23rd, 20 14, the work coordination leading group meeting of Dali University was held to study the construction and development of our university. On February 26th, 20 15, the Ministry of Education announced the Announcement on Newly Established Institutions of Higher Learning in 20 15 and the formal establishment of institutions of higher learning after preparation for construction, and passed the application for renaming Dali University as Dali University. The publicity time is 20 15 from February 26th to March 17.

Finally, on May 8, 20 15, the "Development Strategy Seminar and Opening Ceremony of Dali University" was held in the Gymnasium of Gucheng Campus of our school. Our school has officially become Dali University.
