Guangdong Food and Drug Vocational College is a public full-time general higher vocational college approved by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and put on record by the Ministry of Education. It is a national high-quality vocational college, a high-level vocational college with China characteristics and a professional construction project construction unit, a demonstration vocational college in Guangdong Province, a first-class vocational college in Guangdong Province, a labor certificate winner in Guangdong Province, a civilized campus in Guangdong Province, a modern apprenticeship pilot unit of the Ministry of Education, and a demonstration vocational education group in Guangdong Province. The school is sponsored by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and managed by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education. The school gives priority to education at the junior college level, and its majors cover engineering, science, medicine, management, art and other categories. Talent training is included in the talent management category of Guangdong Provincial Health and Wellness Committee, Guangdong Provincial Drug Administration and Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The school, formerly known as Guangdong Chinese Herbal Medicine School, was founded in June 1965, and the school is located in Saibakou, Guangzhou. /kloc-moved to Jiang Lan road in March, 1974, and was renamed as the first branch of Guangdong Commercial Technical School; In September, 1979 was changed to Guangdong Medical Technical School; 1983 Established Guangdong Medical Workers' Secondary School, which was jointly run with Guangdong Medical Technician School; 1984 moved to Longdong, Tianhe District, Guangzhou, and Guangdong Medical College was established in March 1986. The school began to undertake higher education from 65438 to 0999, and was upgraded to a higher vocational college with the approval of Guangdong Provincial People's Government in 2002. In May 2003, it was officially upgraded to Guangdong Vocational and Technical College of Chemical Industry and Medicine by the Ministry of Education. In May 2007, it was renamed Guangdong Food and Drug Vocational College with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
