1. Two Maintenance: "Two Maintenance" refers to resolutely safeguarding the core position of the CPC Central Committee and the whole Party with General Secretary Xi Jinping at the core, and resolutely safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and centralized and unified leadership. Taking the lead in "two maintenance" is the primary task of strengthening party building in central and state organs.

The four self-confidences put forward by the General Secretary at the celebration of the 95th anniversary of the founding of New China: Socialism with Chinese characteristics's road self-confidence, theoretical self-confidence, institutional self-confidence and cultural self-confidence, are the creative expansion and perfection of Socialism with Chinese characteristics's "three self-confidences" put forward by the 18th CPC National Congress.

3. Four consciousnesses: political consciousness, overall situation consciousness, core consciousness and integration consciousness. This "four consciousnesses" was first put forward at the the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Conference held on 29 October 2006/KLOC-0. All comrades in the Party should enhance their political awareness, overall awareness, core awareness, and sense of conformity, and earnestly be loyal to the Party, solve problems, be responsible to the Party, and do their duty to the Party.
