Thoughts on Reading "Education in Zen of Five Educated Musicians"
Recently, I was deeply attracted by the book Five Practices of Happy Teachers-Education in Zen. With the help of a large number of Buddhist cases, this book explains our education from the perspective of Zen, which is refreshing and enlightening. The author of this paper puts forward five ways for happy teachers, that is, to cultivate a soft heart, a pair of wise eyes, a tolerant heart, a unique skill and a pair of shoulders, which is very important for us teachers. I can't help being deeply shocked and reading again and again. I was reluctant to let go, so I wrote down my feelings, hoping to cultivate a pair of fingers and hands one day.

1, education is like water

Indian philosopher Osho said, "When the shoes fit, the feet are forgotten." Real education should be "dark education" and "hidden education", that is, the best way of education, which should moisten the heart without hurting the roots like spring rain. Many times, a teacher's understated encouragement, a seemingly casual caress, a sincere look, and a hint that does not reveal traces will leave unforgettable hints for children and have a great impact. And this kind of influence, such as spring rain moistens things quietly, is more effective.

Indian poet Tagore once said, "It is not the beating of iron, but the singing and dancing of water that turns rough stones into beautiful pebbles." This sentence tells the pure beauty of education. The beating of iron will break the stone, or make its edges and corners more distinct and sharp; Seemingly weak water can make the stone smooth and round in the quiet flowing, singing and dancing, gentle and delicate etching.

And that water should be the teacher's tenderness and the teacher's heartfelt love. Only with deep care and love can education become the water of singing and dancing. Mature educators, that is, smart water dancers, make those angular and defective stones gradually perfect in the March of singing and dancing.

2. Without tolerance, there is no education.

People are not saints, who can be right? Our teacher is facing the growing students. Their concept of right and wrong is forming, and their behavior consciousness is still unstable. It is their right to make mistakes. As a teacher, in the face of students' various situations, criticism, reprimand or punishment is a way, and tolerant reminding and understanding is also a way-but no matter which way, it is for education and to make them better. Our teachers should choose appropriate methods and drugs like doctors. The truly effective education is not thunder and lightning, but gentleness and gentleness. Soft wind and drizzle can moisten things quietly, immerse them in children's hearts and play a long-term role.

I can't help but think of what Suhomlinski said, "We should protect students' young hearts as carefully as dewdrops on lotus leaves. "The dew on the lotus leaf is crystal clear and round, so beautiful and lovely, and so sensitive and fragile. The slightest breeze or the flapping of a bird's wings may make him fall and break-isn't a child's young heart like this crystal dew? Teachers should learn to appreciate the dew and treat those children with a tolerant attitude.

3. Backward is forward.

When it comes to teachers' professional growth, we always emphasize reflection, that is, let teachers sum up their teaching experience. American psychologist Posner said: "Experience without reflection is narrow experience, and at most it can only become superficial knowledge." So he put forward the famous teacher growth formula: experience+reflection = growth. Professor Ye Lan once famously said, "A teacher who has written lesson plans all his life may not become a famous teacher, but after three years of reflection, he may become a famous teacher." A large number of facts show that those excellent teachers have grown up on the chain of "practice-reflection-re-practice". If you keep your eyes on your work, you are always busy in the infinite cycle of preparing lessons, attending classes, correcting and tutoring every day, but you can't "keep an eye on yourself" and have no time to reflect. The so-called progress and growth can only become empty talk, and the final result can only be seemingly empty talk.

The German philosopher Jaspers said: "Education is the turning of the soul and the art of epiphany." The return of the soul is reflection, and only reflection can grow. Maybe we are just like a farmer, planting seedlings in the "paddy field of education" and constantly retrogressing and reflecting-"retrogression turned out to be progress."

4. Write a poem all your life.

Education is not only a science, but also an art. In order to teach books well, teachers must work hard outside poems to write good educational poems. Just like Xiangling's poem described in A Dream of Red Mansions. Xiangling studied hard to write poetry, so that she forgot to eat and sleep. She sat, lay, walked and fell asleep, writing poems in her dreams, so that she found a poem in her dreams sincerely. Xiangling's painstaking poems are just like our awakened teachers' urgent desire for professional growth. I always firmly believe that the width of classroom teaching depends on the width of teachers' teaching vision; The depth of classroom teaching depends on the depth of teachers' educational thoughts; The height of classroom teaching depends on the height of teachers' moral sentiment; The thickness of classroom teaching depends on the thickness of teachers' cultural accumulation, which requires us to constantly absorb and desperately accumulate in order to continuously improve ourselves. Only plump teachers can cultivate students with all-round development. Only when the quality of teachers reaches a certain level can our education be like a spiritual journey, dancing with the lightness of teachers and students. Every teacher can only write an educational poem with lofty artistic conception if he does his homework well and works hard outside the poem.

There are Zen principles everywhere in life, and the key is to have a heart that is good at discovering and understanding. Isn't education life the same? Every article in this book is derived from the story of Zen, which is analyzed, interpreted, illustrated and verified by examples, and spares no effort to tell the soft temperature, the strength of wisdom, the perfection of tolerance, the charm of stunts and the importance of taking responsibility. Xie Yun believes that education is a kind of practice, which includes not only the level of technology and ability, but also the state of life and spiritual realm. Teachers should complete the growth of life and spiritual enrichment through "correcting behavior". In his view, teachers should be warm, soft and tolerant, as indifferent and quiet as a Zen master, with detached wisdom; Students are delicate flowers, dust-free angels and young eagles full of life tension. Education means that teachers use their super personality charm and warm spirit to infect and light up students, so that they can slowly wake up, grow up and find themselves.
