How to teach senior high school English well under the new curriculum standard
The overall goal of senior high school English course is to cultivate students' comprehensive language use ability. The purpose of the new curriculum reform is to let students master the teaching content unconsciously in entertainment, gain emotional experience and education, pay attention to giving full play to students' subjectivity and initiative, change passive acceptance into subjective participation, change students' "asking me to learn" into "I want to learn" and change teachers' "teaching" into "guidance". Under the guidance of this purpose, we should pay attention to design, methods and classroom effectiveness, and realize the trinity of "knowledge and skills as the basic goal, process method as the core goal and emotion, thinking and values as the ultimate goal". In teaching, we should master the process and methods of students' learning basic knowledge and mastering basic skills.

First of all, establish a "student-centered" subjective view and confirm students' subjective status.

In teaching activities, students are the main body, and teachers are responsible for organizing, guiding, helping and monitoring, guiding students to learn to recognize and do things, allowing students to experience the process of acquiring knowledge, paying attention to the development of students' various abilities, promoting the all-round development of students' knowledge and skills, process methods and attitudes and values, establishing a classroom model of independent inquiry and cooperative learning by scholars, and creating a harmonious, relaxed and democratic classroom environment. The establishment of students' dominant position reflects the rise of people's understanding, that is, the question of "who to teach" is put in the first place in teaching. In this way, with the help of teachers, students can clearly understand their subjective consciousness in the process of English learning, treat English learning correctly, be good at learning and be willing to learn.

Second, establish a "ability-centered" concept of education quality and cultivate students' innovative ability.

English classroom teaching should be a process in which teachers guide students to actively participate, think independently, discover independently, innovate constantly and cultivate practical ability, so that students can change from "learning" to "learning" and teach English as a communication tool. Therefore, the new curriculum reform requires teachers to create a good environment for teacher-student interaction and develop students' language communicative competence.

Third, be good at using information technology to stimulate students' interest in learning English.

Most students are afraid of language, and it is difficult to concentrate on learning simple knowledge. Being good at using multimedia technology can make the classroom full of vitality, attract students' attention and develop creative thinking, thus making classroom teaching full of vitality. It is better to put students in a certain language environment and let them understand, practice and use the language in a certain language environment. Multimedia materials should be guided by students' interest in learning, interspersed with some vivid English stories, humorous English jokes, foreign customs and other contents in teaching, so as to make boring English learning lively, gradually form a strong learning atmosphere and cultivate students' interest in learning English. Interest is the best teacher for students, and interest is the premise of learning a language well.

Fourth, adopt scientific evaluation methods to establish students' confidence in learning English.

(1) Diversified evaluation means not only judging students by their test scores, but also comprehensively evaluating students' English ability in various activities.

(2) Give priority to encouragement, praise and encourage students' progress every time, stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning, and thus improve students' learning efficiency.

(3) Pay attention to students' emotional experience by showing affection for others. When evaluating students, teachers should take positive emotions, pay attention to their progress, be kind to them, let them benefit from the evaluation instead of being punished, and let students gain a pleasant psychological experience in English learning and change their attitude towards English.

Fifth, create a pleasant and harmonious classroom atmosphere and promote students' independent development.

Teachers should create a learning environment that makes students feel safe, tolerant and conducive to their independent development in teaching, so that students can reduce their anxiety, are not afraid of language mistakes and are willing to participate in creative language communication activities. Teachers are not only educators, but also should participate in students' learning as organizers, managers, encouragers and even collaborators. During this period, teachers need to love, respect, care and treat students equally. Don't be intimate and biased because of differences in students' grades, gender, origins, etc. Let yourself and students maintain a harmonious classroom cooperative relationship, so that students can feel pressure and full of vitality in their study.

Six, give students the guidance of learning methods, and guide students to learn to study independently.

(1) classroom teaching. Instruct students not to listen passively in class, but to be good at capturing key information, combining listening with thinking, listening with remembering, and digesting the learning content in class in time.

(2) Guidance of learning activities. Guide and encourage students to actively participate in classroom activities, actively use their brains, hands and mouths, and boldly practice.

(3) Preview and review guidance. Instruct students how to preview purposefully, how to plan and review pertinently, and avoid the blindness and ineffectiveness of preview and review.

(4) Guidance on specific learning contents. Different learning contents have their corresponding learning methods. For example, teach students how to listen, speak, read and write, and how to recite words instead of memorizing words mechanically.

(5) Extracurricular learning guidance. Extracurricular learning is the extension and expansion of classroom learning. Internet, radio, newspapers and various books provide students with opportunities to broaden their horizons and learn languages. Teachers should recommend relevant learning materials and books that are equivalent to students' knowledge level in combination with students' reality, guide students to effectively use learning resources, and better consolidate, enrich and expand their knowledge in the classroom.
