In 2005, influenced by various factors, the development of the school fell to the bottom, among which Fengyang Campus only recruited 8 students in 2005, and the fate of the school faced a life-and-death choice. Faced with the grim situation, we thought that "reform can be born, and if we don't reform, we will die", so we boldly made a strategic decision of "going out of the routine and relying on information technology to develop". The construction and development of our digital campus can be summarized as 16: project start-up, technical follow-up, application innovation and standardization promotion. It is a gradual development path from spontaneous to conscious, from distributed to standardized.
As early as 2003, all schools in the whole region had access to broadband networks, achieving 100 megabytes of access to schools. With the help of the good network environment at that time, our school took the lead in carrying out the project experiment of "promoting English learning with Mintel memory engine" in the whole country, and won the first place in Mintel English project for three consecutive years in the subsequent information technology innovation practice activities of primary and secondary schools in China, and the English scores of the whole school quickly jumped to the forefront of the whole region.
A successful project practice has quickly changed the concept of teachers and even parents, thus making the development of informatization a consensus of all parties. After studying in primary school, most students can master the English vocabulary of grade seven. When the first project was successful, we were not satisfied, but focused on the whole course and improved the teaching efficiency through project experiments. National experiments on Chinese, mathematics, English, information technology and other subjects have been carried out successively, such as the research on primary school students' reading and writing in advance under the information technology environment, the research on the design and mode of network teaching in primary schools, the research on improving classroom effectiveness by using interactive technology, the research on mixed learning based on interactive whiteboard, and the research on "one-on-one" teaching, etc., all of which have achieved good teaching results. Among them, "Research on Group Cooperative Learning Based on Interactive Whiteboard" was rated as a national excellent subject.
To carry out the project experiment requires certain technical equipment support. For example, English experiment in M needs an online environment with one person and one computer, and interactive feedback project needs one person and one handheld terminal. With the deepening of various topics, the school has gradually equipped six public network classrooms, more than 300 computers, 12 one-on-one computer classes, three group cooperation classes with five people and one computer, nearly 700 students' personal computers, four interactive feedback classrooms and more than 200 answering machines. All classes in the school are equipped with interactive electronic whiteboards, two sets of classroom recording and broadcasting systems, and a series of teaching resources are purchased with the project. At present, there are 1 public classroom in every six classes.
Advanced technology and equipment have created a good environment for information teaching.
For schools with tight funds, if a large amount of investment in informatization is not effectively used, the principal's heart will be very painful. So is our school. Therefore, in the application of teachers, we also spare no effort. The technical providers begin with specialized operation training, then practice training for the backbone teachers of the school, and finally invite university experts to conduct comprehensive training in theory and practice. The depth and breadth of training are getting higher and higher, and teachers are growing faster and faster. Our school has become an incubator for the growth of regional teachers' information technology specialty.
With the deepening of application, the understanding of cadres and teachers has also improved. Some problems exposed by everyone in their work, such as some resources are more than others, technical maintenance can't keep up, information flow between departments is not smooth, and home-school collaborative education is inconvenient, need to be solved urgently. In order to solve the structural shortage of resources, we should first unify technology into one brand after another, eliminate barriers between technologies, and mobilize outstanding teachers in the whole school to develop teaching resources based on this technology in order to achieve better resource sharing. In solving the problem of technical maintenance, we set up an education technology department composed of full-time and part-time staff, and some links are outsourced to related companies; An online repair reporting system has been established, and any technical equipment problem in any campus will be responded within 1 hour, and in most cases it will be solved within 1 working day. In order to solve the problem of poor departmental information circulation, the school has established a comprehensive management platform for campus network and implemented "unified identity authentication". Users only need to log in once to pass the security authentication and access the subsystem in other applications, which greatly improves the work efficiency. At present, we are organizing strength demonstration, starting to introduce "cloud service", and plan to gradually realize "cloud coverage" of all terminals in the school. Teachers and students can access the central server by logging in with their own passwords. In this way, in addition to managing, maintaining and utilizing their own individual resources, they can also enjoy public resources more conveniently. Technicians also switch from maintaining numerous terminals to maintaining the central server, which not only saves costs, but also improves efficiency. In order to solve the problem that people are not interactive enough, and the space is limited, we can't carry out effective home-school collaborative education. We upgraded our broadband to Gigabit, and applied for our own domain name on the Internet, which not only serves as a publishing platform for information, but also becomes a storage platform for resources, making it a self-developed core resource library, and can also promote home-school collaborative education more conveniently. At the same time, we pay attention to the construction of digital culture. For teachers, the focus is on the construction of digital consciousness and digital behavior, thinking and working with the concept of numbers, making numbers the basic way of thinking and life of teachers; For students, the key point is to change the closed and bound moral education, strengthen the study of children's minds, guide them to express their lives and themselves through the internet, and feel the meaning of their existence in the network cultural life.
The construction of digital campus is always a dynamic process, a systematic project and a heterogeneous project. In my opinion, in the process of construction, according to its own foundation and environment, as well as different mainstream culture and core business, schools can completely walk out of different development paths.
Demand-oriented
The construction of digital campus is restricted by two aspects, one is the concept of people, and the other is the capital base. Influenced by people's cognitive laws, people can only predict the future state of affairs, but can't accurately grasp the state of affairs, so it should be a desirable way to reflect in practice and practice in reflection. Just like Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, there are low-level needs first and then high-level needs. Only with knowledge can new demands be generated. Therefore, facing the trend instead of drifting with the tide, think calmly and analyze what you need most at present, even if you just do one or several projects or technologies, don't be eager for quick success or perfection. If you need one, develop one, use one well, and take every step in a down-to-earth manner. Although you may not reach the top in one step, you will be very powerful and enjoy the scenery along the way.
Take application as the core
Technology is never the most important, but talent is the decisive factor. Therefore, while grasping the application of teachers, we should pay attention to the cultivation of teachers' educational ideas, especially the educational ideas behind new technologies, which have changed from "face" to "inside".
From "Material" to "Logistics"
Wang Xiaowu, deputy director of the Central Audio-visual Education Center, said: "In the information society supported by computer technology, network technology and modern communication technology, our lives are constantly being changed by advanced science and technology. From this point of view, modern information technology has paid attention to "things" in computer-aided teaching to "flows" in educational informatization. Our work now is to change from teacher-oriented to student-oriented, from completing presupposition to processing and generating, and truly embody learners as the main body. At the same time, we should attach great importance to the construction of digital resource system, pay attention to the interconnection of subsystems, and form a powerful and practical "information flow" to support teaching and management.
From traditional thinking to "man-machine integration", from static to dynamic, from focusing on application to focusing on culture.
Students are the main body of learning, and no matter how well teachers teach them, they are not as solid as students themselves. Therefore, while paying attention to teachers' teaching, we should pay more attention to students' learning, especially to train students to use modern information technology, network technology and communication technology to solve problems independently, cooperatively and exploringly, so as to better adapt to the survival of the information society. It is an important task of educational informatization to change students' traditional thinking mode of accepting knowledge into "man-machine integration" thinking mode, and to cooperate with technology to solve problems.
At present, many schools' understanding of digital campus is still at the stage of building campus network, developing some courseware and releasing some information, and they have not achieved due benefits in teaching and management. Therefore, the next step should be from the initial initial stage of building a network, building a database and building a team to a new stage of integrating various application systems, promoting school management and improving teaching efficiency, so that the campus network can truly become a platform for efficient management, teacher-student interaction, teaching and research, and home-school collaborative education.
