Zhaoan County (formerly Zhaoan County, Zhangzhou City) is a county under the jurisdiction of Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, located at the southern tip of Fujian, at the junction of Fujian and Guangdong. It is connected to the intersection of the East China Sea and the South China Sea in the south, Raoping County in Guangdong Province in the west, Pinghe County in the north, Yunxiao County and Dongshan County in the east, and Raoping County and Nan 'ao County in the west.

The land area of Zhao 'an County is 1 0,293.6 square kilometers, of which the county planning area is 1 0,000 square kilometers and the built-up area is10.7 square kilometers. The coastline is 88 kilometers long and the sea area is 273 square kilometers.

Historical evolution:

During the Republic of China, Zhao 'an County was under the jurisdiction of Fujian West Road and Zhang Ting Road, directly under the province, and was successively placed under the sixth and fifth administrative supervision areas of the province.

1949 After the liberation of Zhao 'an in February, it successively belonged to the Sixth Administrative Supervision Area, Longxi District, Longxi Special Zone and Longxi District.

Since May 1985, it has been located in the urban area of Zhangzhou.
