The international standard of Chinese proficiency in Chinese language education was issued.

Approved by the Examination and Approval Committee of Language and Character Standards of the State Language Commission, the Grading Standard of Chinese Proficiency in International Chinese Education (GF0025-202 1) (hereinafter referred to as the Standard) was recently issued by the Ministry of Education and the State Language Commission, and was officially implemented as the Language and Character Standard of the State Language Commission on July 20 14.

In recent years, the role of Chinese in international communication has become increasingly prominent, and the demand for learning Chinese has been expanding. International Chinese education urgently needs a set of scientific, standardized, inclusive and easy-to-implement standards to guide all aspects of Chinese learning, teaching, testing and evaluation, so as to improve the quality and effect of education and teaching. This standard is the first standardized standard for foreign Chinese learners by the State Language Committee, which comprehensively describes and evaluates learners' Chinese skills and level. The promulgation and implementation of this standard is an important symbol of the further improvement of the language standard system, which will provide strong support for the development of international Chinese education.

Developed by the Chinese-foreign Language Cooperation and Exchange Center of the Ministry of Education, this standard refers to many influential international language standards, conducts extensive research on the actual situation of international Chinese education and teaching in universities, primary and secondary schools and other educational institutions at home and abroad, fully solicits the opinions and suggestions of domestic and foreign experts and other relevant parties, and is completed after repeated argumentation and revision.

The standard divides learners' Chinese proficiency into three grades and nine grades, and forms a "four-dimensional benchmark" with four basic language elements: syllables, Chinese characters, vocabulary and grammar, three evaluation dimensions with verbal communication ability, topic task content and language quantitative indicators, and five language skills with Chinese listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation, thus accurately calibrating learners' Chinese proficiency.

This standard is applicable to the research, teaching, testing and evaluation of international Chinese education, and provides normative reference for all kinds of schools, institutions, enterprises and institutions that carry out international Chinese education. The publication of "Standard" will become the proposition basis of international Chinese-related standardized and standardized language examination and the basic basis for various innovative evaluations of Chinese teaching. It will also provide reference for the overall design, textbook compilation, classroom teaching and course testing of global international Chinese education, and also provide an important basis for the construction of various new models and platforms of international Chinese education in the "internet plus" era.
