Brief introduction of Anhui Normal University
Anhui Normal University ranks 107 in China.

Anhui Normal University is the earliest institution of higher learning in Anhui. The school is located in Wuhu, a national open city with the reputation of "the city of thousands of lakes". It is close to the vast Yangtze River, next to Lingxiu Zheshan Mountain. It is a university jointly established by Anhui Provincial People's Government, the Ministry of Education and the national "Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in the Midwest". It is a provincial key comprehensive university and a "local high level" in Anhui Province.

The school's predecessor was the provincial Anhui University 1928 founded in Anqing. 1946 was renamed as National Anhui University, and 1949 moved to Wuhu in February. Later, it went through several stages, such as Anhui Normal University, Hefei Normal University, Southern Anhui University (inscribed by Comrade Liu Shaoqi) and Anhui University of Workers and Peasants. 1972, approved by the State Council, was officially named Anhui Normal University (inscription by Comrade Guo Moruo). In 2005, Wuhu Normal University was merged into Anhui Normal University.

The school disciplines cover literature, history, philosophy, economics, management, law, education, science, engineering, agriculture, art and so on, forming a complete talent training system at different levels, such as doctoral-master-bachelor education, full-time higher education, adult higher education, international student education and so on. At present, there are 5 first-level disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, 45 authorized doctoral degrees in two disciplines, 5 post-doctoral mobile stations, 25 first-level disciplines authorized by master's degrees, 28 authorized master's degrees in two disciplines, 2 authorized professional degree points, 8 provincial key disciplines, 3 provincial key discipline construction projects and 88 undergraduate majors.

There are more than 2,300 teaching and administrative staff in the school, including more than 450 full-time teachers 1 person, more than 840 professional and technical positions above associate senior level, 3 national teaching teams, cultural celebrities and "four groups" talents 1 person, leading talents in philosophy and social sciences of "Ten Thousand Talents Program" 1 person, and "Thousand Talents Program" There are 5 "Wanjiang Scholars" in distinguished professor, 4 lecturers, young Wanjiang scholars 1 person, 2 provincial "Hundred Talents Program", 28 provincial academic and technical leaders, 47 provincial academic and technical leaders' reserve candidates, 3 provincial teaching teams1person, 24 provincial famous teachers and 28 provincial teaching rookies.
