The University of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, referred to as "Kangda", is located in Qingdao, Shandong Province. It is a research-oriented and applied national university founded by China Disabled Persons' Federation, National Health and Wellness Committee and other central ministries and institutions and sponsored by Shandong Province.

As the first university named "Rehabilitation" in China and even in the world, Rehabilitation University insists on interdisciplinary, and has built a "Great Health" discipline professional system with rehabilitation science as the core, medicine, science and engineering as the main body, and management, pedagogy, sociology and other disciplines cross-integrated, demonstrating and leading the development of rehabilitation disciplines in China.

The school plans to have full-time students 1 10,000 and 5,000 doctoral and master students, and is committed to cultivating high-level compound and innovative rehabilitation talents. The first-phase campus covers an area of 1.360 mu, and the first-phase construction area is 535,000 square meters.

The construction of rehabilitation university will adhere to the contemporary advanced rehabilitation concept, integrate medicine, life science and humanities, and build a new university based on research and led by rehabilitation application. Rehabilitation University plans to have full-time students 1 10,000, including 5,000 doctoral and master students.

Rehabilitation University will set up several rehabilitation majors such as basic medicine, clinical medicine, sports rehabilitation, rehabilitation therapy, hearing and speech rehabilitation, nursing and psychology around the functions of education and teaching, scientific research innovation, technical training and industrial incubation.

It is planned to set up 27 undergraduate majors, including rehabilitation physical therapy, rehabilitation occupational therapy, hearing and speech rehabilitation, sports rehabilitation, traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation, acupuncture and massage, biotechnology, bioinformatics, clinical medicine, optometry medicine, psychiatry, preventive medicine, health service and management, biomedical engineering, prosthetic and orthopedic engineering.
