"Blue peaks bloom, beautiful as jade", Yuelu Mountain is like a beautiful natural barrier, bordering Xiangjiang River and lying on the west side of Changsha.

Yuelu Mountain, also known as Lushan Mountain and Lu Lingfeng, is named because it is located at the foot of Nanyue Mountain. In the Northern and Southern Dynasties, Xu Lingfu's Biography of Nanyue said: "Nanyue Fiona Fang is 800 Li, with Yan Hui as the head, and Yuelu is enough." Sheng Hongzhi's "Jingzhou Ji" also said: "The foot of Lushan Mountain, also known as Lu Lingfeng, is the number of 72 peaks in Nanyue." Although Yuelu Mountain is the tail peak of Nanyue Mountain, it is also "magnificent and graceful": Phoenix Mountain, Yuping Mountain and tianmashan are in front; After Taohualing and Lulveling; There is Jinniuling in the south; There is Guifeng in the north, surrounded by Zhurong Peak, so Liu Yuxi in the Tang Dynasty said that "the peaks rush like horses".

In folklore, the origin of Yuelu Mountain is also related to Nanyue Mountain. According to legend, when saints came to Nanyue to preach, Mount Hengshan was just a lonely peak. In order to live up to Nanyue's reputation, he begged God to give each of his 72 disciples a mountain peak. With God's consent, the disciples were sent to travel around the world to preach, and agreed to determine the direction of each mountain with the place where the best students passed on their scriptures as a symbol. Results Yunlu monk, who ranked the lowest, contributed the most. He walked along the Xiangjiang River, doing good deeds along the way. In this place, Yuelu Mountain, he also fought fiercely with Guijing. The turtle spirit did not think about penance, and turned into a Taoist to seduce the souls of the living. Whoever drinks his "fairy water" cannot afford to get sick. At this point, Yunlu found something strange and tried to stop people from being fooled. Turtle spirit bears a grudge and instigates the five princes of the Dragon King in Dongting to falsely accuse Yunlu in front of the sage in Nanyue. Not afraid of the dragon's threat, Yunlu continued to fight Master Roshi, and finally found a solution to the "fairy water" hidden in the hexagonal pattern on Master Roshi's robe-treating it with "human efforts". Yunlu stabbed his chest with silver and painstakingly saved people. Master Roshi saw that the spell had been broken, but he changed his original shape and went straight to the clouds. In a crisis, Yun Lu shed all her blood. Sprinkle it on the tree and dye the leaves red, so there are red leaves everywhere; Sprinkle it on the patient, and the patient will recover immediately ... he fell down by himself, and the place where he fell gradually rose to a mountain. The holy father of Nanyue decided to spread the seventy-two peaks of Nanyue along the road of sutra transmission at the foot of the cloud. The martyrdom at the foot of the cloud is the seventy-two peaks, named Yuelu Mountain, and the harmful turtle essence will stay at the foot of Yuelu Mountain forever. At the same time, Wulong, who falsely accused Yunlu, will stay in front of Nanyue forever, which also creates the landscape of "Five Dragons pilgrimage".

Yuelu Mountain has beautiful scenery and a long history. Since the Western Han Dynasty, there have been relics in all previous dynasties, such as Yuelu Academy, Lushan Temple, Aiwan Pavilion and Wangxiang Pavilion. There was a monument to Lushan Temple in the Tang Dynasty and a monument to Wang Yu in the Song Dynasty. Since the Tang Dynasty, famous poets and scholars such as Luo, Du Fu, Zhu, Mi Fei and Yuan Mei have all left footprints here and chanted Lushan Mountain. Modern people with lofty ideals such as Huang Xing and Cai E are still buried in its arms. The mountainous area is rich in "Lushan Red Orange" and so on, which is quite famous.
