Zhonghua Town is located in the southeast of Binyang County, with a distance of 18km, a width of 5km from east to west and a length of 20km from north to south. It is adjacent to Gula Town in the east, Wuling Town in the west, Gantang Town in the south and Da Qiao Town in the north, with a total area of 74.7km2 and cultivated land 1865.87 hectares, including paddy field 168. The town has jurisdiction over 6 village committees, 82 natural villages and 179 villagers' groups (three armed forces, Shangshi, Yucai, Ji Meng, Xintang and Laolu), with a total of 6,708 households and a total population of 34,930, of which agricultural population accounts for 94.8% and non-agricultural population accounts for 5.2%. In 2002, the total social output value of the town was 97.8 million yuan, the total agricultural output value was 35 million yuan, the total income of township enterprises was 1 10,000 yuan, the financial income was 5510.3 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 1.7 yuan.
